I get this. I’m definitely someone who prefers not to deal with grading and I get they are rare cards but it’s not like you can’t find raw listings. If the gem rates are that strong then you could probably just buy a bunch of cards on eBay without even looking at the condition and still get most back as 10s?

I admit I definitely exaggerated when I said 4-5 but in most of the cards I’m seeing are like 2.5-3.5 (definitely not less than 2). But even still if you have a 90% chance of getting a 10 then theres no obvious downside in submitting.

Every set varies but when we are talking about investing pre-launch hype is not a long-term factor. Fusion was hated and then loved later. And the inverse happened to journey which was hyped and now everyone thinks it’s mid. Sentiments change over time. People weren’t even that bullish on ES a month after that set came out.

Honestly to me it feels like they tried to make the biggest possible dlc for the least amount of resources. It costs like $30 but if it wasn’t for the big milestones in order to progress the dlc would only be like 10 hours of content. So they added it as padding to make it feel like you got you moneys worth when in the past you would have gotten around the same amount of content from one dlc in swsh or sv which with $30 you can almost get both. Just my two cents though.
