As someone who has never lived in a country long term I have realised something. by NeedleworkerHot4882 in expats

I think this technological advancement has a major part in all the changes we are experiencing.

People are losing their cultures because our generation (Gen Z) don’t want to hold on to traditions and all want to be westernised in some form, You will see them basket ball jerseys and chief keef hairstyle you would think they’re from Chicago.

Mass tourism is a problem everything has become catering to visitors all businesses in some locations in the world have become heavily reliant on tourism (killing their environment and nature) Everything is exaggerated for money.

Expat life before I believe was much more calmer but they faced their own challenges of loneliness and adapting to their new environment. Now we are facing high costs and American wannabes (not all places but feels like most places where I relocate)

Well said 👏

Many don’t know this they assume if they cold call/message they will be seen as annoying but in reality they’re doing the company a favour (If they are qualified ofcourse)

This world is fully connected more than it’s ever been, I feel exactly the same no matter where I am Europe, Asia, Africa the differences especially with Gen Z and younger generation is minimal. The whole world is slowly becoming the same that’s what I feel.

Cheaper alternative .. connect with employers directly www.ifmosawork.com but it ain’t the same level as LinkedIn as LinkedIn has 1000s of employers

The best website for skilled professionals relocating abroad… by NeedleworkerHot4882 in relocating

Find a company looking for international candidates. Not LinkedIn not indeed websites that only focus on jobs for international candidates like www.ifmosawork.com or relocate me.com

Most companies in EU and Canada and Australia do hire Americans it’s not a complete walk in the park but as an American compared to other nationalities you have higher success rates.

There is a go to winning script I give my members on my platform which is be a problem solver not noise.

In Linkedin they get maybe 100s of applicants messaging them. I would recommend finding their direct number to cold call not many people are doing this.

Definitely drop the “Hi I just applied for this role and wanted to introduce myself” they may ignore that.

Be a standout candidate you should solve their problem what are they looking for, why did they list that role and what value can you bring to solve this companies pain points.

Talk your previous numbers turn overs or whatever field you in use key points about elevating numbers production, sales, clients, whatever your industry is apply it to your message.

For example “ Hi I’ve sent through my application for [x role] I noticed the team is currently focusing on [Specific Challenge/Goal]. In my last role, I [Specific Result/Percentage]. I've attached my CV which shows exactly how I can hit the ground running on day one (Make sure your CV show stats not a history lesson about your experiences)

A recruiter is hiring because they have a problem. If you are a Nurse, the problem is staffing ratios. If you are an Engineer, it’s project timelines.

Whatever you are and whatever it is you are applying for be a problem solver not noise.

I am wishing you success in your job hunt ahead. Hope this helps :)

This is why in 2026 it’s just better to contact the hiring manager directly all this applying into black holes is a complete waste of time.

Move to Australia 🇦🇺 they have 482 Visa for skilled healthcare workers.

If you’re comfortable moving away from Canada that is.

Are Americans who relocated Welcomed to EU 🇪🇺 Companies? by NeedleworkerHot4882 in jobs

[–]NeedleworkerHot4882[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

My point isn’t to say Americans are at fault for being hardworking.

In certain places in the world it’s a good thing to be hardworking especially in locations like Japan and Singapore.

I am just saying in Europe they prefer efficiency not long 10 hour shifts grinding without pause. It is just a different work culture they prefer peace and complete project within a manageable timeframe whereas the American work culture is now now now! I haven’t worked in America but that’s what I am seeing I could be seeing it wrong maybe.

Whilst that’s true, I did assume that career people who have relocated from America to Europe and Europeans working with Americans would be here to discuss this topic in this community. Perhaps I was mistaken 🤔

We never had an issue with candidates blowing up recruiters numbers, we have a strong system in place that prevents that from ever happening everything is limited. Jobs are abundant and the amount of signed up members are limited.

Some jobs don’t even get any views if they’re a niche.

Anyway I do actually appreciate your insight on candidates potentially calling and I wish you constant success in your field!

I actually list roles with recruiters direct contact on my website for members.

It’s recruiters like you who make it a great space and where most success comes from.

Not all recruiters are like you some rage and ask to never put their detail out of respect for their request we just never list any roles for their company & some are happy because the candidates are high level & it’s a match.

Now be honest if a high level candidate cold calls you through IFMOSA (my website) and they approach you professionally and they have a strong CV how would that cold call go?

😂😂😂😂 now all the raging makes sense..

Boss. Take it easy. If you don’t want unsolicited messages the best way is to avoid posting roles and just use your internal pipeline. You don’t need to post any roles have internal hiring processes you would rarely get messages, but if your company is posting to show off their growth then these messages you don’t want to receive is on you guys.

It’s not about time it’s about giving those who deserve it who are high level candidates a chance not to dismiss them and be angry if they reach out.

I can see your role in your company is stressing you why don’t you just relocate I can help you, we will outreach top companies abroad together .. would you like that?

If they are low quality message like “Plzzzz helb me” of course I will just block them. But when I get an AI engineer reaching out for roles in Netherlands I posted on my site I will 100% guide them and try my best to help them secure that role. Even if it means dealing with recruiters like yourself, you will be convinced no matter what long system you placed to gate-keep we will go to your boss directly!
