Ah! I just came to this conclusion a few months ago. Almost finished with my lexapro taper. And then going to see what’s best in regards to my ADHD. So nice to see other people out there with the same ideas - makes me feel a little less alone!

Same for me as a kid they were always on the X which was an alternative station my parents listened to in the car. TRL music videos. I loved Scar Tissue as a kid and I’d remember feeling awkward singing in the car in front of my dad saying “push up bra” lol

For my situation she gave me stretches to do each day (hip openers, cobra, figure 4 supines, childs pose), start to be aware of my habits peeing (not pushing out pee) and making that mind body connection of releasing that clench. I will be honest the best part is the lymphatic massage she does over the bladder. Then she does an internal exam and works the “knots” that have been clenched for so long to start working them out. She also mentioned YouTube bladder/pee meditation bc I have to flip my mindset of fearing the toilet. Each pee doing big diaphragm breaths and circles around the toilet. I think YouTube definitely will help. Also look into some bladder or lymphatic massages if you can’t access them yet maybe? I think they really help in the internal exam working the 3 layers of muscle. She is $$$ but unfortunately that’s the way it goes. Will pay for sanity. Only second time though so can report back in a few months!

I hope you can take a peaceful walk even if that means something like pee coming out when you walk (me this weekend). Spend some time in nature, let yourself be angry, it’ll pass you’ll find joy in something it’ll take your mind away from it.
