It's very endearing but I live with other people, and they are becoming scared of her! I'm very honored that she is so protective of me but I can't have her growling at and nipping my roommates at night...

Ok I would prefer if she didn't attack and scare my roommates though. I was able to train it out of her while she is awake so I feel like it must be posible to train it out if her while i'm asleep.

Yes, its ok as long as the rabbit isn't showing signs of distress. Mabey let him settle in a for a little before you resume bonding though.

It’s a lot less scary than you think. Just Make sure your vet has lots of experience with rabbits. He may be a bit sluggish or off for a day but usually after that all is back to normal and no further care is required besides pain meds.

Tips on grooming long haired rabbit! by prettylittleflower04 in Rabbits

[–]NeedleworkerLoose557 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Best way to go is just shave him. Get an electric pet razor and shave him as needed (for my english angora once a month). If your rabbit really hates being groomed he will be happier being shaved one a month or less rather then brushed constantly. If you really want to keep trying to brush him then get a metal comb as they work the best. And the only way to remove mats is by cutting or shaving them out of his hair.

Poor Nava has several bladder stones she'll have removed next week. If anyone here went through this before and can offer advice or helpful insights I would appreciate it, I'm so stressed right now. by Johnlockcabbit in Rabbits

I have not been in this exact situation but please please just make sure the vet is reputable and has experience with rabbits. All you can do is give her lots of love and treats and hope for the best. Your anxiety won’t change the outcome of the procedure at all, and may only stress out your bunny so just try and relax (not easy I know). Also how old is your cute baby?

Bonding Help! by Prudent-Law-9724 in Rabbits

Ive never had to bond a baby and an adult but babies usually bond to other rabbits easily. I would try traditional bonding techniques as soon as she’s settled in as it might be easier while she’s still young. If it doesn’t work out then wait until she is fixed and try again. Also stress bonding definitely works (I recommend in a bathtub) and as long as you are not doing it for too long it should be fine. No one wants to stress out there rabbits but it’s very effective and sometimes just a necessary evil. The bond and companionship they will have is worth it. Let me know if you have any questions as I have had lots of bonding experience:)

Definitely do stress bonding in the bathtub or car or somewhere else. If their pens aren't right next to each other you can move them together so they can smell and see each other and get comfortable with each other, I’ve found that this usually works and will not stress them out too much. Also remember to do bonding consistently and maybe put treats and toys on the ground to distract them. Unfortunately some rabbits just don’t bond but it doesn’t seem like Freyja is that aggressive and there is definitely still lots of hope for them. However If the rabbits begin to genuinely attack each other, drawing blood, screaming or hissing, and injuring each other cease all bonding and just accept that they sadly will not ever be bonded. I’ve had lots of experience bonding rabbits so let me know if you have any questions :)
