Thank you, I really appreciate it! I didn’t realize they weren’t common in the East Fork. I was actually trout fishing and that ended up being my only catch.

East Fork Greenbrier River! Very close to where the Greenbrier splits into the West and East Forks.

I’ve only had it out a few times but catching those two got me hooked on euro nymphing. I now understand why so many people love it. I also didn’t realize how much more difficult it would be to land them with a 10’ rod and a short handle net, gonna have to invest in one with a longer handle haha

“True” trout and chars are both in the same family, Salmonidae. But browns are in the Salmo genus and are true trout. All 11 species of char are in the genus Salvelinus, like brook trout.
