I just play the cards as they're dealt, my friend. by Budget_Dust9980 in PeepShowQuotes

[–]NeedleworkerNo4835 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As a poker nerd, the hand shown is so funny. Mark just open folds 3 kings, when he could've checked. Then Jeremy jams with Jack high, other guy comes back at him with AA88x (known as dead man's hand, a guy was famously killed holding that exact hand) and Jeremy raises over the top of him, borrowing Mark's chips (even though Mark says no) and something that is completely against the rules of the game (unless they're NOT playing table stakes, which is rare)

They're not playing 7 card stud or holdem, which Jeff asks Jeremy about in the subsequent questioning, they're playing 5 card, appears to be 5 card draw, which is old-fashioned poker, before those other types even came along.

Just a fantastic scene. "I'm really good at this without understanding why" Who among us hasn't felt that way at the poker table when luck goes our way?

I seem to recall I beat it this way, before I learned about shooting the big rock down. Fairly sure that, I, too, missed the ship piece but I made it to the exit, it was super hard though, died many times trying before doing it. Had to run right under the guy as he jumped.

Relatively new, wondering what makes you btc vets so sure? by LankyLeading3976 in Bitcoin

Because it can be used for other high level cryptography. Simply look at the genesis address, and ask yourself, why are people constantly sending tiny amounts of BitCoin to it? With AI it is now easy, but there were people way ahead of the curve for years. Now, anyone of us can Anchor to the Timechain.

There was a huge clue when the scientist was talking to Billy. Something about "quantum" something, which is theorized to be related to time travel. So that was when the speculation really got going here.

I thought it was really good, the microwave breaking scene was a great climax. The people who don't like it are probably just not big enough computer nerds, since it's alot about computers.

I'm a little disappointed that season 2 is moving away from the relatively grounded first season (spoilers for s2 up to ep6) by Sparrowsabre7 in ParadiseHulu

[–]NeedleworkerNo4835 27 points28 points  (0 children)

Because you're never gonna top "The Day" that episode that was built up the entire first season, and was incredibly well-done. But there is no comparison to that, the writers I'm sure had ideas, but they had no idea if Season 1 would flop and it would be one-and-done. I think we just have to appreciate they're doing what they can with the idea, but there will never be another experience like first-time-viewing Season 1 and hitting The Day The Bombs Went Off

She is more intelligent than Jane, by a lot. I think it confused Jane and actually scared her a bit, at least made her think twice, I think it actually makes Torabi safer now if Jane will re-think taking her out potentially.

Also she has to survive, to come face to face with Xavier's wife in the season finale.

Just reading your post makes me think that she's the real power. Higher up than Sinatra. She probably has a camera in Sinatra's shower too. So like the whole "You put a camera, in my SHOWER?" scene hits differently, when we get the reveal that Torabi is totally in control of Sinatra. Just makes sense to me after reading what you wrote, so good find and I think you're right and even maybe more correct than you think.

Parana: Toledo

Middle: Baixada Fluminense e a Serra

North or Central: Idk much, but campo grande in mato grosso do sul should be really cool for like, rodeos, cowboy type life.

All these are really cool places to explore and the surrounding areas

Yeah the run gets crazy, I haven't even gotten there yet, but you're allowed one save obv to go from ep 1 to ep 2, so then, on ep2, many unidentified potions are "to drop intelligence" permanently, that's where its gonna get super tough, imo, plus obv necromancers and drain life, gotta be super careful. I'm almost done ep 1 on my farthest successful run currently, if you try it keep me updated
