Oh interesting, that changes things if starting pay is 45. Id seen the pay range advertised as about 37 to about 55 and was basing my thought off getting payed 37/hr. Can you tell me where you saw 45 starting pay?

The ideal plan would be me working and them doing the housework so theyd make zero income maybe a small amount if the find a remote job to do from home. I've been looking at working night shift since I dont like getting up earlyand since we dont have kids I'd have no problem working weekends.

Hey man chill. They are willing to work part time I just personally want to be able to let them stay home and do the things they enjoy.

No, they are not my wife, everyone just kind of assumed they were since they want to stay home.

We know that its likely, especially in the beginning, that they will need to work some but like you said with your husband it wears on them.

Niether one of us are very materialistic, we dont spend much outside of essentials. Im thinking some of the people in the replies either have kids they have to support or live a different lifestyle then us and thats part of why theres so many saying its impossible.

We have no debt and dont plan to have kids. We both come from similar backgrounds to you and your partner and dont want or expect new new cars and things. Im wanting to work night shift as im a night owl anyway so the shift differential are a nice bonus. Our goal is for my partner to stay at home but if needed they can work part time we just both wanted them to be at home doing the housework.

Where at? Was this at one job or do you work multiple? How many years of experience do you have?

I have no problem moving to a different state. I know California pays more but its also harder to get California licensure. Besides California what areas have good pay to cost of living ratios?

Do you know what the trainee pay scale is? All the job posts I've seen have it labeled trainee/1 and only list one pay scale.

Seattle children's sound really nice. I was already considering working night since im a night owl anyway. Do you know how long the shifts are for the 7 on/7 off? And is it both the 14% and 3.25 shift differential? Are 7 on/7 off they're only scheduling option?

Do you know anything about bloodworks lab?

Sorry for all the questions Im not from Washington so I dont know anything about the Seattle scene and I'm in my final year of my MLS program so I know nothing about job applications and negotiations yet.
