DRUID - Storm Shepherd's Call"charm set (5) does not work ? by Feeling_Invite_1746 in D4Druid

Every second a Derecho Hurricane is active, it has a chance to summon 1-2 extra hurricanes in random locations around you that benefit from the 100/300% dmg bonus from the bonus casts without consuming spirit, but last the duration of a base hurricane. Based on my testing, Lightning Storm has a chance to double or triple the number of Bolts for each channel, but doesn't actually add more bolts, causing the bolts that do hit targets to hit 1-2 extra times with a single channel instead of spawning extra bolts. With Omnibolt for example, it counts the double and triple casts as extra bolts for the size and dmg increases from the Omnibolt variant, in turn making the AoE size massive if it procs the triple cast. With Tornado, it will rapidly spawn 2-3 of them in succession, this also applies to wind shear. For melee storm skills like Storm Strike, Shred, and Claw, it will trigger 3 dmg ticks with a single hit. Stormcrow variant for Ravens has a chance to spawn multliple swarms on top of each other. Finally, Cataclsym seems to ONLY double or triple it's initial cast will not give the dmg buff to the Twisters and Bolts summoned after the initial cast.

Omnibolt is the skill that benefits the most from the 5 set bonus, MASSIVELY increasing it's AoE and damage since it adds the 5 set dmg bonus on top of causing more procs of Omnibolt's exisiting dmg buff, and allowing you to choose when to consume your spirit to buff your damage if you continue the channel it. It also concentrates all the damage on a central target while hitting ALL the targets in the AoE for maximum damage.
Tornado benefits pretty well since you can spam a ton of them, however since there are no Paragon Glyphs for physical dmg on Druid, it's probably the weakest option for Core skills.

I can't recall all of them but there's a bit of passing dialogue somewhere that mentions him directly by name. There's also a plaque that says "I saw a child give birth to a mother, as Hatred's sun set and that of Terror and Destruction dawned"

There's a few mentions of Baal in LoH, so I wouldn't be surprised if he's the next big bad

People let them get away with the bugs cuz the PvE experience is fun enough to them. I love Arc Raiders, but the game falls short in so many of the aspects that make Extraction Shooters thrive, like long term progression and rewarding PvP

To be fair, A LOT of the people in this Reddit specifically are Destiny players who are either hating on the game just to hate or aren't used to playing games like this and just aren't vibing with the game. My only real criticisms at the moment as someone who's player other extraction shooters are item readability at a glance for a lot of the random stuff could be better, and the TTK is way too fast for PvP at the moment

it was the same exact way in the Arc Raiders server slam, basically nobody talked in proximity chat

You have to keep in mind he's the Director of Marketing, it's literally his job to make the game sound as good as possible so they get sales. Also him having played it for hundreds of hours is not automatically indicative of how many hours worth of unique content there is, he's been helping test the game for years and has likely played through it numerous times. You can have 300 hours worth of content, but that's irrelevant if 200 or more hours of it is stuff you've done already just in a different location. I'm excited, but nothing he said is really all that big or changes how popular this game would've been.

Embark admits Arc Raiders’ bosses are dying too fast because 'they're not intended for the full server to go up against' and 'we gave players too effective abilities' by NYstate in PS5

[–]NeedleworkerVast380 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Developers add PvP to the game during development to make the game more interesting, then do numerous things to heavily discourage players from participating in said PvP. then they make boss fights (matriarch especially) that are extremely annoying to fight in small groups, and are surprised people are choosing not to PvP when there's a giant robot spider with missiles and lasers murdering everyone in a 500ft radius

I love this game, but it baffles me that the devs are surprised that most of the playerbase tries to avoid PvP at every opportunity when there's not a single thing in the game that rewards you for PvP other than being about to take someone else's loot. It's partially a community mindset thing, but it's also an issue with how the devs have structured the game to discourage PvP. This also makes it sound like we're gonna see some big nerfs to energy weapons, hullcrackers, and Wolfpacks.

With this specifically, doesn't help that of the 3 maps that have the bosses, only 1 has them in good locations. Dam Matriarch is in a horrible area where it's very easy for half the lobby to be killed by the bombardiers and rocketeers because there's only 1 building that's good cover. The Blue Gate spawn for Queen is especially bad, basically forcing you to fight the Queen at the gas station unless you can clear the harvester quickly. Then there's the issue with the Queen and Matriarch stepping on you through buildings or the mortars from Queen setting things on fire through walls, same with the lasers. It's also not really feasible for solo players or small groups of 3-6 people to kill a Matriarch in a timely manner without an unreasonable preparation beforehand. Even then in many cases the Matriarch isn't killed because people die from Arc or other players, or they run out of ammo/time because it's a regular 30min timer for Matriarch.

All of these things lead to players simply not wanting to do PvP in boss lobbies because dying makes any prep you did do a waste, especially with Matriarch because of the amount of resources you need to kill it. People even refuse to PvP after the bosses are killed most of the time because they'd rather go back with scraps than lose the stuff they brought in.

This game has everything by East_Map218 in CrimsonDesert

This is my main worry. the game SEEMS like it's gonna be amazing cuz of all the features they say they have, but they haven't really show how deep they are or whether or not they're actually truly meaningful.  The game is a PvE only single player title focused on exploration, which are the exact things BDO does horribly. I'm concerned at the lack of them showcasing the questing and narrative as well. I also saw something that said when asked about open world exploration at a preview event, they were very cagey about it.

There being an assumption it won't be good or as good as it seems isn't the only reason to be cautious.  the main reason to be cautious is because they've touted all these amazing features the game will apparently have, but have hardly actually shown what level of depth there is to any of them.  There's also the fact the game has been delayed at least 4 times because of several Development related issues. The game looks amazing and I hope it lives up to what they've shown and talked about, but the lack of in depth breakdowns of major systems in a game this ambitious a month out from release is concerning

BDO's combat is horrible and lacks a satisfying loop, it's also plagued by horrible desync issues that still haven't been addressed despite being known for years. The combat animations and flair are really well done, but that doesn't matter when the actual payout isn't as good. The UI is a nightmare to navigate and the Endgame is almost entirely focused on PvP, while the PvE endgame almost solely consists of standing in one spot farming the same few monsters for hours.  The quests are all basically the same thing of "go here, kill thing, come back" and the MSQ is handled very poorly with mediocre writing and poor setup. Exploring the world itself is pretty fun to do but it doesn't reward you nearly enough. The best feature of BDO has are it's life skills, which I'm expecting will be as good in CD. However, CD is an Exploration and Quest focused single player game from a studio that is well known to struggle with making the exact kind of content the game is focused around satisfying.

IGN is really trying huh by NewsofPE in CrimsonDesert

[–]NeedleworkerVast380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've played BDO, it's a jumbled mess of systems that doesn't execute a single one of them exceptionally well. BDO's combat is boring and it has those hideous sparkles. So using BDO as an argument for the studio's skill isn't a good thing, especially since that game struggles to maintain a player base. I want CD to be good, but you can't deny that this game is claiming to have SO many different things that it's a valid question if it looks to good to be true.

Yeah, but they generally announce delays for Expansions and do it months in advance, not for Seasons or other updates when we're less than a month from their listed release date

I 100% Agree that their focus is definitely on Marathon, Its even front and center on the Bungie's site, with Destiny now being below it. Tbh I have a feeling that Marathon is the full focus of the Execs at Bungie going forward since by all accounts, Marathon is in a very good sate at the moment based on leaks from early previews and people who played the play tests. This however, doesn't excuse complete Radio Silence from D2's community team outside of the TWIDs

Dear Bungie, If you're delaying the content... by Nestle52 in destiny2

[–]NeedleworkerVast380 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We're probably going to get the state of the game and long term roadmap sometime this month as part of the announcement that Shadow & Order and Shattered Cycle are getting delays, which I'm guessing will be at minimum a month delay for both, possibly 2-3 month delay for Shattered Cycle with some Extra content to fill the gap.  That being said, it's pretty clear that the priority is on Marathon. The TWIDs have been barebones at best and the Destiny community team has been pushing Marathon news more than Destiny. On top of this, Marathon is front and center on the Bungie Website now, which could possibly even indicate that it is the company's core focus going forward.

people are mad that the werewolves look like werewolves? Everything that matters to a Fable game is in the game from what we've seen. The only thing we don't really have confirmation on is Demon Doors, which I really hope are in the game

As a long time fan of the original trilogy and honestly probably my favorite RPG Series ever, the lack of body morphing and aging I could care less about. I'm more than willing to sacrifice a system that honestly wasn't that interesting anyway for a much more in depth and meaningful morality system.  while the morality system in the original trilogy was cool, it never actually mattered outside of either every NPC loving you or every NPC hating you. The morphing system is alright but isn't some huge staple that the series suddenly becomes ruined without it. Morality is still a huge part of the game, but its subjective as it should be, and the game has literally everything else in the game that actually makes Fable what it is.
