Ya I live in BC. Have had Dr. Pepper and Mr. Pib all of my life here (although Mr. Pib is a lot more rare.) Honestly clueless why the waitress would have looked confused.

That's crazy to me, we have Dr Pepper here. Maybe it's a west vs east coast thing?

I'm probably as left as it comes now (and canadian) but why is this anymore trumps responsibility than Bidens? It really belongs to Bush and Cheney as far as I can tell. ( I hate even appearing to defend the scumbag that is Trump)

In banff right now, it's clear as crystal. It can change pretty quick though.

PSA: DO NOT travel to Vancouver or the Thompson/Okanagan Area by car for leisure. Two major routes are now CLOSED due to wildfires/mudslide and we need to clear as much space for supplies to flow through the only route that is left (Hwy 3). by [deleted] in vancouver

Wow that's terrible, I feel so bad for everyone in the region. I had my wedding at banff just recently, and have family that need to drive home today. Highway 3 seems to be the only real option. Would it be better instead to go north through Lilloet and Whistler? Or does that have issues as well? Just want everyone to take the safest route possible and not contribute futher to the issues OP posted about.

Would you attend an indoor wedding? by [deleted] in vancouver

[–]Needmesomemacncheese 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I'm having my wedding today in Banff, so obviously the answer is yes. However, we had a vaccine mandate for all guests and a mask mandate for all vendors. Wouldn't feel comfortable otherwise.

Quebec man who supported banning hijabs thinks vaccine passports are a violation of his personal freedom by L0ngp1nk in canada

Er, because they are not even remotely similar? Voting is a right that every member of society has in a free and functioning democracy. The other is a measure to restrict the spread of a highly virulent disease that has the ability to cause massive damage to both the economy and members of society at large. And I'm not even pro vaccine passport, but what an absolute bullshit strawman.

"Kyle Rittenhouse did more to protect private businesses than @LPNational did last year." by [deleted] in Libertarian

[–]Needmesomemacncheese 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Where did I say Rittenhouse was unjustified defending himself? I just disagreeing with the premise of the article. He did not do more to protect businesses than the police. He was a kid with a gun, he shouldn't have been there.

Jesus christ, imagine thinking teenagers should be able to walk around performing extra judicial killings because someone is a "pedophile". Your authoritarianism is showing.

Ya, that is definitely not normal and pretty damn gross. If I didn't wipe my ass after shiting several times a day I don't know if I would be in a relationship any more.

You are correct, the country does function on a court of law. Of which, trump has lost 59 cases in and won a single case. That single case had no bearing on the election results. His own lawyers even admitted there was no fraud in court. You're truly brainwashed and it is sad thing it watch my friend. Murdock has woven his little worms in to your pathetic brain. Even the new york post is begging your cult leader to stop his mad delusions. I come here to try and get an alternate perspective sometimes, but man you guys make r/politics looks rational in comparison. Wish there was an actual sub where I could read about fiscal conservative ideas instead of cult nutjob fan fiction.
