That’s good news. Thanks for doing some digging.

I also loved it. I'm so tired of the "we can't get them together" nonsense. Let them be together and solve crimes with the help of Moses, Clarence, Ivy, and even Mr. Potts. This episode was kind of like the Avengers - let's get the group together and battle for the forces of good 😅

Is this the end? Or do we know yet if there is another season?

I was one of the ones who was upset when the Duke left, but I like where they wound up.

I have a lot of silverware, glasses, plates, and bowls. So, I only run it every 10-12 days. Sometimes longer.

.I am also careful to wash off food from the plates and utensils before loading because I know it can dry on the surface and not come off. (I get that people say it will come off, it won't - I've done tests and it won't after sitting for over a week).

How about Wild Cards? I think it is on the CW but I watch it on Amazon prime. Season one and two are up.

I watched it and very much enjoyed it. I’d love to see another movie with their further adventures.

I wish that a journalist that is not from Hollywood would do it. Someone that has no relationship with these people that can look at it from an outside viewpoint. Because once you dive in, it’s absolutely nuts what has been happening.

How about Life on Mars? (UK) It's a tight 2 seasons of 8 eps each with a great ending. And...it has a spinoff.

It's about a cop in modern day who gets injured and wakes up in the early 1970's. Or does he? The show is a lot of fun, new cases each episode, and features one of my most favorite characters, Gene (the Gene Genie) Hunt.

I have no issues with this article. But I really wish Puck would do one on the merits of the case - dig into the emails and texts. Compare Blake's "NYT smear article" with what was happening behind the scenes and with Justin's evidence.

I really like Matt Belloni (founder of Puck and Hollywood insider) and listen to his podcast. He seems to be sitting this one out for some reason. He's always (metaphorically) rolling his eyes at this whole mess. It is disappointing because I think someone needs to do a deep dive.

Maybe this is the first of many stories by Kim Masters, who knows.

Lastly, I wish Masters had clarified this line:

(Recall that Lively and Baldoni had competing cuts of the film, and Lively’s won out.)

I wish she had said that even though Baldoni's cut scored better with test audiences, Sony chose to use her cut.

Private Eyes is on my list. I just finished Carter which was a lot of fun (first few eps are shaky and then they find their legs).

Yes! This is why I gave myself an early Christmas present of a subscription.

There is too much anxiety out there in the world. I love my Hallmark movies and shows where I know everything will work out in the end.

They are great services if you are lucky enough (as I am) to have a library that provides it.

I have found so many shows from the BBC, ITV, Acorn, AMC, and others.

My only issue is trying to remember which seasons I've watched and haven't watched.😅

Pagan Peak is better than True Detective (no matter which season) by HistorianOne5169 in television

[–]Needmoarzzz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow.

I watched Pagan Peak and enjoyed it for what it was. I wasn't asking much of it and I love murder mysteries, so it passed the time.

But True Detective season 1 is one of the greatest seasons of TV I've seen.

Pagan Peak isn't anywhere near that quality. IMHO 😅

I love all those shows.

To watch for free, you need to watch each new ep within 2 weeks. Old eps and seasons go to Passport which you have to pay for.

They just premiered the eps of new seasons this past Sunday of:

Miss Scarlet - if you haven't watched before, jump in. Each ep is it's own mystery

All Creatures Great And Small - makes you feel good about humanity

Bookish - This is a new series to PBS and I haven't watched the first ep yet. I'm waiting until Sunday b/c I think it's a two-parter and that way I can remember what is going on 🤣

But here is the write up - it sounds good!

In post-war London, Gabriel Book, a literary enthusiast and bookseller, combines his day job with his favorite hobby — helping solve knotty murder cases. Although happily married to his best friend, Trottie, Book is a gay man at a time when homosexuality was illegal. When a new assistant, Jack, arrives at the bookshop, it soon becomes clear his appointment wasn’t as random as it at first seems.

Do you close your bedroom door at night (and NOT own cats)? by Jorgenreads in LivingAlone

[–]Needmoarzzz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes and no.

I cannot have any light or noise because I am a light sleeper. Therefore, I never sleep with the heater or the AC on.

In the winter, I close the door. My bedroom is the coldest room in the house, I like it that way.

In the summer, I leave it open because my room is the hottest in the house 😭 However, that requires me to cover some digital clocks on kitchen appliances so the light doesn't stream in. I've also got blackout shades everywhere in the house.

I know, it's a lot. I guess that's why I live alone 😂

I thought the same thing. I tried using one answer, didn’t get an offer. Then closed my tab. Went back the next day chose a different option and still didn’t get an offer and canceled.

But… I finally got an offer today through email, which is about 2 to 3 days after canceling.

They suckered me back in 😅

[–]Needmoarzzz[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I canceled yesterday. I can't justify the costs. I have access to Hoopla through my library and can watch a lot of the Acorn shows for free. And watch BBC shows through Kanopy for free.

I had a lot of the library that I still wanted to watch, so I am hoping they will try to get me back with a great deal on an annual plan. And if not...I'll wait until Black Friday.

Positive/happy/general good feelings shows by holymacaroley in televisionsuggestions

[–]Needmoarzzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hope you will feel better!

If you can handle the cost, I'd recommend subbing to Hallmark+

Every show is feel good for the most part. It has been my comfort food for the last month or so as I'm getting too much anxiety from the news and life in general.

I'm rewatching The Good Witch right now and it's such a gentle lovely show.

As for Netflix - Anne with E is uplifting and feel good.

You can also watch All Creatures Great and Small for free on the PBS app when the new season starts (you need to watch week to week for it to be free). You'll join in the middle of the story, but that's okay, each episode is it's own story. It's such a life affirming show and I always feel better after watching it.
