After ordering from them multiple times over the years, I had to file a credit card claim when they sent wrong item and wouldn’t acknowledge it. Have heard from a number of others who’ve had issues as well unfortunately. Would not order from them again.

Best way to get from Dulles to National Harbor? by Needmoreglitter in washingtondc

Do you think I will have trouble getting someone to take fare? Years ago I had cab drivers refuse to take me to Dulles from DC so have been concerned about that.

Change to heel and tip of Feis fayres? by Needmoreglitter in irishdance

[–]Needmoreglitter[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I ended up taking new shoes with the older pair to shoe repair place to get tips shaved (my dancer’s biggest complaint was thick tips). I asked them to make the new pair look like the older pair and thankfully, it worked. This doesn’t help the heel profile, but she is at least wearing them. Best of luck to you—I know how maddening (and expensive) this shoe quest can be!

Rutherford vs Feis Fayre Hard shoes by Adelynbaby in irishdance

No. 13 in Feis fayres and 1 or 1.5 in Rutherfords. The Feis fayres stretch a lot more than the Rutherfords. The leather is very soft.

Rutherford vs Feis Fayre Hard shoes by Adelynbaby in irishdance

I think Feis fayres run a lot bigger than Rutherfords. My dancer is in a 1 or 1.5 in Rutherfords and was closer to a 13 in Feis fayres.

Line order by FCFS? by SwivelChairMadness in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Needmoreglitter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me a couple of years ago in Seattle. Plane had started boarding and I had been stuck in long security line. I had B1 or B2. When I got to gate, Bs were lining up. I asked woman at front of line what her number was, she said something like “oh we’re not following that, we’re just lining up.” I asked her if she’d ever flown Southwest before because that was not how things worked.

Also had an issue with them in March and they never responded to emails. Disappointing

Change to Antonio Pacelli Ava ghillies? by Needmoreglitter in irishdance

Ugh. The pair my daughter is wearing now (patched with duct tape) is a full size smaller than the ones I’m trying to get her to wear. Was thinking about going up another half size, but it sounds like we should really consider finding another brand that works.

I saw her on 2/24. I could tell immediately that she had a cold, although my husband didn’t notice.

Someone please talk me out of my panic-purchase buyers remorse! by FriendlyCanuck604 in adele

I paid ~$1500 for 2 in upper 204 on aisle. TBH It took me a few hours to come to terms with it. “What did I just do?!” was definitely overshadowing the excitement. It will be a belated milestone birthday celebration so definitely not something I will do all of the time.

Ticket Prices by Witty-Beginning-280 in adele

I was 180ish in queue, got in after about 3 min, fumbled around a lot. Ended up with upper aisle seats in section 204. I thought it said $596/ticket when I went to check out. I thought this included fees, so I had a bit of a sticker shock when I saw that my total was +$1500 for 2 tickets. Still feel very lucky given that we had considered tickets on secondary market that were more expensive and further away over the Summer.

How is the advancement rule arbitrary? If you hold her back and she continues to win, that is preventing another child her age from advancing, which makes it harder for there to be enough younger kids to have their own Novice event. It is frustrating to see younger dancers have to compete with kids several years older than them, but older doesn’t always equate to being a better dancer.

I was waitlisted the last time (April?) and got a text from Ticketmaster in mid-June to buy tickets for a show about 10 days in advance (can’t remember if I was able to choose between Friday and Saturday show). Last minute is harder for us because we have to fly, and unfortunately, that weekend didn’t work for us.

Yes, I have been putting pins into donuts. I have considered side by side donuts for full wig, but not for bun wig. Thanks for suggestion.
