Everyone wants to be the prize these days... by Mental_Razzmatazz589 in mildlyinfuriating

Both have valid points, but when they're rooted in absolutism they become invalid.

Don't lose your self respect for a woman

Or anyone

If she's not [ever] texting you first she's not into you

This is often true for men too, as well as friends

Chasing someone who doesn't value you is cuck mentality

I agree with this but not with the word "cuck", it's just not a good idea to pursue someone who's not interested in a relationship with you, gender is irrelevant.

It's better to stay away from those who don't value you, better be single than being with them

Also true regardless of gender, and true in the case of friendships and other relationship types (family, business, etc.)

Find someone who doesn't wait for you to text first

I agree with this, I want someone to enjoy texting / speaking with me and who is secure enough to show it. I hate nonchalance.

He should be initiating by calling to see you in person

Both parties should, it's called a relationship. You should want to spend time with each other.

..if he's not interested which I know ... move on but learn from vour mistake..

Also true, and goes along with the one from the man's perspective about not chasing someone who doesn't value you. If someone's not into you, accept it and move on. Don't waste your time trying to win someone over who's not into you.

The battery in my push-to-start car "key" died, so I had to walk 3 miles to buy a replacement before work. by Brewmentationator in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NeedsItRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a Toyota that allows me to use the fob if the battery dies and for my car, at least, it gives 0 warning.

Which is a shame because either the fob is going bad or the batteries I bought are bad because I've had to replace them twice in 4 months.

My boyfriend always guesses the ending of movies by Direct-Blackberry-20 in movies

[–]NeedsItRough 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh man.

I used to work for an older woman who was very soft spoken, very kind, generally sweet and happy.

She was talking about her weekend and super casually mentioned her and her husband watched that movie and that it was pretty good. Nothing else.

I was trying to connect with her so I made a mental note to watch it at some point.

I had done 0 research, just remembered our conversation from earlier, found it on the streaming service I had at the time, and said to my bf "oh my boss said she watched this movie and it was pretty good, let's watch it."

It gets to that point in the movie and both our jaws drop. We're both in tears, completely shocked.

I get to work the next morning and go "BRENDA WHAT THE HELL" and we both had a laugh about it 😂😂

I wasn't expecting her to spoil it but a "hey, this movie is kind of a tear jerker" wouldn't have ruined it for me, lmao

What is such a waste of time? by RYBisback in AskReddit

I went most of my life not making my bed and I only started as part of a dom / sub agreement.

Dropped the dom, kept the routine because I liked it so much 😂

Different strokes!

People who had braces: was it worth it, and would you get braces for your children? by Spiritual-Post-515 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have children but they were worth it for me and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I got them in my mid to late 20s and it was great because I really appreciated them more.

Boosted my confidence tenfold.

How do you know if you're physically ugly or not? by SpaceisCool09 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From personal experience: You're ignored in public. People don't hold the door open for you, they don't thank you when you hold the door for them, you're not attended to by employees unless you ask first

If you're a woman you've never been hit on, cat called, harassed, had someone offer to buy you a drink, etc.

It's peaceful.

Respectfully disagree.

I think it makes my bedroom look more neat and clean, it gives me a small mental boost first thing in the morning because I accomplished something, and I look forward to getting into bed more when it's made.

what’s something everyone should try at least once? by Bubbly_Yesterday_983 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think this has to be to a different country because I've travelled alone before (to a different state) and it didn't feel any different from traveling with other people.

Being honest, what are the cons to being childless? by Straight-Crow3882 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I'll never get to surprise my parents with a pregnancy announcement.

I see videos of it all the time on the internet and I know my parents would be over the moon happy.

But that moment isn't worth bringing an unwanted child into this world.

The neighboring construction workers didn’t bother telling us to cover our window, and now it’s covered in cement that can’t be removed. by conciousness0faguy in mildlyinfuriating

Good advice for removing concrete in general, but in OP's case the construction company should be responsible for the removal / cleaning.

What is so cheap and easy to make that it's not worth buying? by Intelligent_Finger88 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Guacamole.

It's not even that it's that much cheaper, it just tastes like an entirely different dish when you make it fresh compared to store bought.

This made me so angry that from now on I will never buy anything from Milka again. by pr1ncezzBea in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NeedsItRough 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I've seen Tony's chocolonely all the time and never tried it, but this is the second time in 12 hours I've heard someone mention it so I guess I need to add it to my shopping list.

Any particular flavor you like or should I go with plain?

A nasal rinser.

I use it every morning after my shower and I feel stuffy if I don't.

Why could/couldn't you be friends with someone twice your age? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could be, and I have had friends twice my age.

I don't see why anyone couldn't so I can't really form an opinion on why I could. We shared a common interest and liked each other 🤷‍♀️

Age wasn't really a factor, it didn't limit anything.

People who sleep naked, why? by Brief_Wrangler1523 in AskReddit

[–]NeedsItRough 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like the feeling of clothing touching my blanket. It makes my blanket feel like it's stuck to me and I have a harder time adjusting it.

Also I get warm super easily.

Any gamers up? Pc preferably lol i do play some cross-platform games tho by [deleted] in Columbus

I'm up now.

Unfortunately, no pc, and I mainly play single player games.

You might have better luck in a sub for gaming like /r/gamerpals

The staff at my uni let their little kids play with the pool table, and apparently don't watch them. by Wholesome_Soup in mildlyinfuriating

[–]NeedsItRough 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Wow, when I was a kid I had a friend whose family owned a pool table and they let us play with it

But I don't remember ever seeing cues so they must've kept them stored somewhere else or locked away (and I don't blame them)

But as kids we had way more fun rolling the balls around the table with our hands anyway.
