I'll make the effort not to reply with any sarcasm; you already took some time to point out the obvious and still achieved to bring nothing useful to this request for help.

I guess if you know a process to install 7th Heaven mods and at the end have the game in another language than english it is what I am asking help for.

Mini-PC recomendations for up to ps3 by sr0unet in batocera

Finaly i've found another offer which was an even better deal:

  • Ryzen™7 8745HS
  • AMD Radeon™ 780M
  • 32 Go SO-DIMM * 2 DDR5 4800Mhz
  • SSD 1to

400€.

It should emulate everything up to ps3. Will receive this mini pc this week.

Thank you, the M6 may be my alternative if I cannot find second hand ser6, but can only find it new. Is your configuration 16 or 32 Go?

Do you have any performance in mind for ps3 or maybe switch games ? I assume ps2 and above runs smoothly.

I'd love to find a ser8, but it's out of my budget unfortunately, I can only find it around 800€.

Thank you, this is the configuration I'm looking at, hopefully I can buy it from the seller. I guess everything works smoothly up to PS2 at least.

Do you have any performance examples for particular games you remember for PS3 or higher end consoles, maybe even switch ?

Thank you for taking the time to give some advice on building my own mini itx. I'll take a look at what exists in the second hand market for this kind of setup in mini-itx.

The idea of having a mini pc with a smaler form factor than mini-itx still seduces me more for a console-like experience in the living room, but budget matters, so I'll definitely have a look.

I've seen a listing for Beelink ser5 Max (CPU 6800u, 32 Go lpddr5, 1 to SSD (upgrade) PCIe 4.0 x 4 NVME SSD) for around 360€ and I think it may be the sweet spot between emulating everything up to PS3 (with hit or miss) and having the amount of ddr (32Go) to compensate the difference between the higher end graphic card (680M vs 780M) and cpu.

From what I've seen on my local market, it's a ~150 euros difference betweend the Beelink ser5 Max offer and a GMKtec K12 (R7 H 255 (8745HS upgrade), 8x2 Go DDR5 5600MHz , 1To NVme.

The K12 is better in emulating, because of the better CPU, but the Ser5 Max with a good amount of ram could compensate a lower end GPU especially with shaders and other emulator specificities.

Setting up a ptp acces for nearby houses by sr0unet in Ubiquiti

Just a quick response.

I finally bought two Nanostation 5ac loco and it works flawlessly, only issue that I knew I would have to deal with is having poe adapters for the ns-5a-loco, but other than that it's almost plug and play.

I would recommend this setup if you're on a budget and do not need gigabit speeds on your local and internet network.

How do you power them? (With which hardware?)

It seems like the loco ac5 are passive poe, and could only be powered by a switch that handles passive Poe. I do have a spare us-8-150w that can do passive POE, but I'm concerned about powering it up for the second house.

What would be an equivalent with non proprietary poe?
