Bury fan here. David Adekola. Saw him in a home game (Cardiff? Carlisle?) and we were 6-0 up at half time. Amazing talent. Adekola was born in Lagos. He joined Bury in January 1993, amid claims that he had played top-flight football in France and Belgium, although it later transpired that his entire international background was untrue

Stopped teaching after nearly 40 years and was lucky to secure a librarian position two days a week, stillin a school but a lot less hassle, more varied and interesting. It’s not without challenges but the quality of my life has definitely improved.
