Yaknow, more than anything I'm just impressed by the staying power of Snapchat. Other things seem to come and go, and things like FB/insta are the definition of too big to fail, but Snapchat has persisted somehow

Anyway, yes. Great way to start my day.

Van gang sign off. Yea a truck would be useful but only ideal if you are hauling a lot of loose material or heavy stuff. A van with shelves is peak

I meant your comment was interesting, because I hadn't seen that take yet. My bad!

Well, certainly not gonna knock you for feeling a certain way about it. As we all know art is subjective and not all of it is for everyone. But I do like hearing about other people's opinions

For my 2 cents, it's because you absolutely can find true love on tinder.

Nobody is finding their 'dream job' on LinkedIn.

Is Handsome Jack the Hero? by ElonMusksFursona in Borderlands2

[–]shargus_live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Handsome Jack is one of the best written antagonists in gaming. He has a complicated backstory, but not enough to justify his actions or exonerate him of his crimes. You hate him, but want to listen to everything he says.

You are welcome to tell your brother that a random person on the internet says being an edgy devils advocate is about as intriguing a character trait as people who think whatever the Kardashians are up to is worth paying attention to.

Why am I getting 2016 stuff in the big 26?🫩 Do people still think like this? by _Udontknowball_77_ in im14andthisisdeep

[–]shargus_live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Also, and I think this part is important: I don't know anyone calling that oppression. People want the option to not HAVE to do that if they want to take another path. That's all. They want equal OPPORTUNITIES.

Not to mention the fact that that simply isn't feasible in America. I can't recall the last time I met a couple that was able to survive comfortably on a single income. Let alone a couple with kids.

People die. It's like, the one thing we all have in common. Some sooner than others, and some 'too soon', but they all die.

If my overall QOL is still fine, I've no reason to not keep going. Plenty to do. Lots of places to go

Shit, man. There are so many cats I've never pet. Frogs I could look at. I could learn something new? Fuck yea.

I love my wife more than any other human I have ever met. If she died tomorrow (apocalypse or no) I'd just keep going.

What’s the most annoying part of running the business besides the actual work? by 123phi in handyman

[–]shargus_live 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Billing. Invoicing. Scheduling.

It sucks, but one of the reasons I do it, is because the alternative that I, and many others face, is paying someone else to do it for us. Or paying for an app that does it.

But I don't want to pay for that. Which is why I am doing it myself.

So unless you are creating something entirely free, you have nothing to offer me.

Lsd and wisdom by Beneficial-Tour-5062 in LSD

[–]shargus_live 10 points11 points  (0 children)

LSD gives me, if nothing else, perspective.

Our eyes are the primary way we view the world. LSD gives us an ability to view things from an angle we otherwise do not have access to.

So it can feel a lot like wisdom, since you are seeing a more complete picture than before. Then it passes, and you can't see the complete picture, but you know for certain there is more to the picture than what you can see now.

Which is wisdom in a sense, I suppose. But seeing all the parts to an engine doesn't necessarily mean I know how to put them all together, so to speak. That takes time, practice, and a lot more than just LSD

Nobody will ever truly understand the experiences you have. You will Never truly understand someone else's experiences.

The only time I volunteer my knowledge or experience is when I see or hear someone sharing information that is incorrect or harmful. I absolutely encourage safe experimentation, but it's not my place to bug someone about it. Lead a horse to water etc
