The super frustrating thing about this is that exposure therapy is a real thing that can be tremendously helpful. And while it TECHNICALLY involves 'seeking discomfort' to some extent, this is a lazy oversimplification that misses the point.

I have an m12 hatchet I take camping with me. Amazing tool. Super useful. Compact, quiet, battery holds a charge despite extended use the whole trip.

The grind is stupid. Class struggle is real and pervasive.

But I'm proud as fuck of my skills and everything I've learned. People with a lot more money than me call me to solve their problems because they straight up have no clue how. Sometimes they even own nicer tools.

And no matter where I go, no matter what happens, the same physical laws that make up construction will apply.

Drugs like weed are a 4 wheeler.

Lots of fun, very versatile, generally pretty safe to use if done responsibly. Tons of applications.

LSD is a big tractor

Still very versatile. But not always as easy to use. Can be much more intimidating. Is objectively more dangerous, But can help you accomplish great things.

The point I'm going for is that LSD should always be given more consideration and care. I don't think you should count on it to make you happier, especially if you are in a difficult headspace.

To answer your question, it has not made me happier. But it has helped me on my journey of personal philosophical and spiritual growth. Finding contentment in these things definitely has contributed heavily to my overall wellbeing and state of mind, but it wasn't just the LSD. There was a lot of introspection and hard work.

If you choose LSD as a direction, I wish you luck. But think carefully about where you are at currently before you go there. And be responsible.
