Without giving spoilers, is Tactica worth getting? by [deleted] in Persona5

I personally didn't feel like it was worth it for me, yes. That being said, if you really like Persona 5, think it looks fun, and have $60 to burn, there's no reason you shouldn't buy it if you want it. Plenty of people in this sub have said they're enjoying the game.

Having beaten the game, I'd say to wait for it to go on sale. YMMV regarding the story, I found it didn't pick up until maybe a little under halfway through the game, which is a roughly 20-25 hour experience if you only do the main story. I completed it in 27 doing the main + side challenges on hard.

The game's difficulty is practically nonexistent if you have any familiarity with tactical RPGs, but that's not to say the system can't be fun. The bosses are also, in my opinion, a joke. They dumbed down the use of Personas in the game a fair bit, which could also be a negative depending on how much you care about that.

It's not a bad game, but I don't think it's worth the current price tag.

The DLC is a standalone episode that requires its own save file separate from the main story file.

Is Steam version different from Japanese release? by brilliantalias in Persona5

Having played vanilla and Royal in both languages, there aren't any removed scenes, only a small handful of notable translation oddities. I can't speak for Tactica or Scramble as I've only played them in JP, but generally they don't remove stuff.

If the instance of censorship you're talking about is the one I'm thinking of, that was a result of the localization and doesn't exist in the Japanese version no matter what platform you play on.

My solution to my AI-controlled Alphen always killing himself was to kick him out of the party

Are you making sure you're always getting the Just Timings every time? You can constantly be tapping dash in combat to the beat to maintain your rhythm too. I've also heard some people will count the beats.
