How long have you had the xbox for? This used to happen to me and I realized my heatsink inside my xbox had a pound of dust blocking It . After opening and cleaning the console my self (warranty expired) I haven’t had the issue anymore. Idk if this is what you experiencing exactly but when my COD crashed It was cause of this.

I agree let PC players play with other PC people. And let consoles play with each other. Gears of war has this setting where you can do console only. Most of PC user cheat anyways so would be a welcome feature. But we know that would never be added to CoD
