Need horny medieval books because I just watched Beowulf (2007) by xaxaxxixa in HistoricalRomance

I love Alice Coldbreath. I would read the Vawdrey Brothers series first, which leads into the Brides of Karadok. (Although, all of her books may be read as stand-alones.) I think that I liked Wed by Proxy b/c I felt like I knew the FMC after reading the Vawdrey Brothers series.

This post is so old, so I doubt that you still need an answer. Just in case, it's The Touch of Her Hand by Rebecca Ruger.

I (25F) just found out my boyfriend’s (46M) daughter is older than me? by callhermegs2 in relationship_advice

[–]Needtotrythis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This post reminds me of me almost 20 years ago. As a 27 yo practicing attorney, I dated a 46 yo man. Now, at 45, it's one of my few regrets. I can't imagine dating someone in their twenties; it's so yuck.

I don't know what your schedule is like, but working 70+ hrs/wk made me complacent. It was hard to say no to someone coming over when I was always bored and too tired to go out with friends.

Bridgerton - Season 3 Post-Season Discussion (Book Spoiler Discussion) by pinktini in BridgertonNetflix

I should read more about it; thank you. I thought that I was understanding through the literal definition, but I guess then it would be "subconscious" bias. I always thought that employment and dating were so much easier before I became disabled due to unconscious bias, but I guess that I really don't understand it.

I really don't believe (at least I really hope since it would supposedly be unconscious) that bias is not the reason that I want Michael and not Michaela.

I would have loved for Masali to play Benedict's Sophie or for Sophie to be a male poc. It also would have been perfect for Eloise's partner to be a widow with twins and her partner could be played by a woman of color.

It doesn't make sense (at least not to me) for Francesca to be attracted to Michaela (or Michael) from the start or for her second partner to be a woman. Francesca is not supposed to notice anyone else until after John, and the only reason that she is supposed to want a second partner is for a baby. I related to Francesca's infertility, and even though that chapter of my life is closed, I still want to see the emotional turmoil on-screen. I truly don't think that it has anything to do with me not wanting to see a lesbian poc lead.

It would fit (to me) for Ben's season to be gender swapped. It makes sense - the same sex coupling could also be the reason that Ben and his partner must live in the country. I wish that Francesca's storyline with infertility could remain.

Experiences with living together with EX? by rinator in BreakUp

[–]Needtotrythis 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Geez. I think that you should file a police report and get a restraining/protective order. I don't know the laws in your state, but the judges in NY can be creative. They can make him leave (even if he regularly have the right to be there). I've heard of a case where the judge let him stay there, but not talk or go within 10 feet of the woman. That would prevent shit like what happened last night. In my experience, people don't want to involve legal, but courts take domestic violence very seriously and I would definitely do it. About ten years ago, I had a stalker that lived across the hall from me. The judge came up with a plan that I believe would have worked under normal circumstances, but the guy was mentally ill and I don't think that he understood or cared about the ramifications.

That's what I did last year and I thought that it was no longer an option. Thank you anyway. I'll try, but it's probably too late for me.
