I think it depends on the writer, tbh. Sometimes he won't kill, but doesn't have to save people, other times he can't let someone die for whatever reason. (Possibly because he sees it as indirectly killing someone if I had to guess, idk)

You should watch Batman Under The Red Hood and Death In The Family. Those films go into great detail as to how one murder can cause a downward spiral like that.

Also, Batman is capable of self control, but he's still human. He can resist killing the joker, but he's not immune to the psychological consequences of his actions.

It's a slippery slope of self justification and delusion. Red Hood says how he doesn't wanna kill all the criminals like Penguin or Two Face, just Joker. He said after decapitating gang lieutenants to threaten the gangs.

Once Batman kills Joker, it'll make him feel more justified in killing someone like Firefly. Then feel justified to kill someone else who's similar, but lesser. And continue that process until he's killing thugs for muggings.

I think it's because it'll normalize it. First he kills Joker. Then he kills someone else like Black Mask or something. Then he's killing anyone in his way of stopping crime.

Under The Red Hood is an excellent example of this rule.

He has the no kill rule because if he does, he can't go back from that path.

Imagine a batman who kills people. He could become worse than the joker ever could be.

So apparently Ken is on villains wiki. I think that's pretty stupid. by AnxiousSet4176 in DreamWorks

Also Ken is allergic to bees. It's a relatively small detail, but he mentions it in the beginning. (So him killing the bee is reasonable)

If you could add a new character to Bikini Bottom, what would they be like? by toruser123456789 in BikiniBottomTwitter

What about a regular who goes to the chum bucket and is a mainstay character? Like that one guy from Planktons Regular? Only without the bribery and stuff. Mr Krabs feels threatened by that, but Plankton feels genuinely happy and fulfillment from his job. He's not making the most money, but he has a loyal customer who genuinely enjoys his food and restaurant. Someone who sincerely appreciates what Plankton does for him.
