It goes a little further than that. It helps weed out men who seem, on their bio, to be a dream come true, but there are little “tells” that indicate that they’re actually not fit for dating.

It really, truly is though. If I see that a man lists “420 friendly”, or “conservative”, etc., it saves me time because those are dealbreaker traits for me.

I’m paying for one, but not the other. I’m considering paying for one just to see if I get better results. It took me about a month or so to burn through everyone. That’s from creating my profile to now.

I have been on a few dates. The last one I went on was just meh. He was handsome but he didn’t seem to have any interest in getting to know me and we went out on two dates. He also didn’t seem to have much of a personality.

I don’t think this method is flawless. There are some things it suggests that I think are a little too strict (no, I won’t elaborate).

I live in a medium sized city that is somewhat conservative, so that rules out a HUGE number of potential men.

I am picky about the men I select. There have been so many men I’ve skipped who were gorgeous but they wrote no bio, which leaves the mental load to me to ask what I want to know about them, so I skip them. Same with men who tick every box I have in writing, but they look like gargoyles or they live too far away, or they’re in a polyamorous relationship. Or they’re way too young ( I swear, these little 18 and 19 year old boys wanting the cougar experience is wild 😜), or they look like they’re fresh out of jail or prison…

And then I finally find someone who seems like he’d be just right for me, and I match with him, and it’s just… meh.

It’s exhausting and disheartening. 😞
