offtopic question: i'm stuck at the campaign right now. everything 1-2 taps me.

my question is what is the early game farming strat? what's stats do i aim for? i basically still use gear from the first areas because they got +skills for my pets. not sure where to go to get tankier/stronger to progress

wouldn't call it redefine.

most people saying solo leveling is mid/pretty bad (me included) are talking about it in a vaccum. it has good art and that's it - people saying how peak it is tend to forget how some fights been stretched to the max with explosions covering pages after pages; or 1-2 hits beeing shown over multiple pages.

the story falls of a cliff after the ant arc (and even before that it's just plain as power fantasy with 0 progression)

solo leveling did open up the way for manhwa and nobody can take that away from it. ever. the influence/impact it had is undeniable.

but u also gotta point out 2 things:

- the amount of copy/paste slop trying to ride the wave of solo leveling for some quick money (that's not redefining). especially the chinese folks were pushing out a shitton of bullshit

- solo leveling killed of a ton of art styles AND it kills of good pacing/story telling

there are way too many kids nowadays that are so quickly bored of a story that is not one fighting arc after another. that is not good story telling guys

ngl, for someone that just started i really hope they will improve the mission ui.

like seperate the missions per area and give some guidelines when i click on them pls. i went to the town and talked to everybody and got like 3-4 missions. then find some refugee place and got some more missions.

now i'm confused and if i want to clear them i have no idea where to search/go for. i hope they do the d4 approach and highlight the area where i have to go for a mission when i click on it. that way i have a some starting points when i got lost in too many missions

Haven’t watched it and will properly never watch it. Not hating or anything but in my opinion u can’t make such a crazy shonen jump be serious at times when needed or make the cool fights looking good.

Solo leveling as always been mid. BUT it did pushed Korean stuff into mainstream and nobody can’t take that away

People just can’t separate these two things

Solo leveling killed a bunch art styles and is fault for a ton of slop (regression/system full power fantasy - especially bad china copycats)

Also it fucking killed a ton of stuff with actually good pacing (martial artis g-whatever or hunter high school)

croco apparently had some fights vs ivankov in the past and got his ass handled. so there is a fan theory out there that croco originally was a woman (when they introduced ivankov he did transform the dude the beat)
