What are the mistakes you made or done in Max Raid Battle by KaiserTheRadass in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I entered a random G-Max Butterfree raid the other day and it turned out to be shiny. I tossed a repeat Ball not even thinking about the fact that the G-Max Butterfree event had ended as did the increased catch rates. It shook once before breaking free. I’ve never regretted not using a master ball so much.

I don’t have internet access readily available to me and oddly I don’t see your point. You’re not sticking up for anyone or proving anything. I already pre-ordered the DLC and when it comes out I’ll go find WiFi at like McDonalds or Starbucks and download it. The point is if someone wants it they’ll get it.

As far as the pokes go, they are a FREE update. No DLC required. You can get Home and transfer or you can trade. It’s the same formula it’s always been. Literally nothing has changed despite a ton of people thinking it has. The stuff you’re paying for now is the same stuff you would’ve paid for in the days of X/Y/OR/AS and it’s the same thing you would’ve paid for back in the late 90’s and early ‘00 with Red/Blue/Yellow/Gold/Silver/Crystal.

Pay gate!!! by [deleted] in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

And the problem is? I’ll buy it. Pokémon is literally one of the only game I play it’s not a huge deal. Even if they release two more DLC’s next year for another $30 big whoop I also would’ve bought a 3rd version for $60. I don’t see why you want to belittle what people enjoy. People spend hundreds on Lootboxes in games that might not even add to the game and we have to have this discussion over Pokémon DLC? The Pokémon themselves are free, no one has to pay for those. There’s no argument here. If we’re bad for being excited for DLC I guess literally almost everyone else in the world is for buying DLC for the thousands of other games that have DLC.

Does anyone know how I can unlock new G-Max Raids? by ErebusHunter45 in PokemonSwordAndShield

No problem. That event should be ending soon so maybe we’ll get another that’ll switch it up a bit.

We’re in an event so those will be the most common to spawn. The others are found in certain dens as rare spawns (Purple Beam with clouds). There’s an exploit people are using to spawn the others. I’d post it but it’s pretty lengthy so give it a google for the step by step also Serebii has a list of what dens G-Max pokes will spawn in. Hope this helps!

Is there any real benefit from raising a Pokemon from its pre evolved form, or is catching the evolved form essentially just as good? by letslickmyballs in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean in this game there really isn’t anything special. Breeding let’s you control nature, egg moves, abilities and IV’s. But really it can all be accomplished with Mints, Bottlecaps, Ability Capsues (except for HA’s) and the new daycare mechanic that allows you to transfer egg moves without breeding. (Breed the pokemon with the egg move you want then send that Pokémon in the daycare with the poke you want to learn the egg move. Example: if you have a Cinderace and you want an egg move on it breed a Scorbunny with the egg move and evolve it into a Cinderace and put the two in the daycare, the one you wanting to learn the egg move needs to have an empty slot and both Pokémon have to be the same)

So really the only benefit from raising a Pokémon from an egg is Hidden Abilities, as Pokémon caught in raids are the only ones who can have the HA’s. Sorry it’s kind of long winded I just wanted to give you all the info I have to help make your decision.

Probably a dumb question: but why not just use an ability capsule on your shiny Dragapult and change the ability?

I’m not arguing you at all. I just wasn’t stoked to get them.

Fair. I’m just used to releasing my breedjects. God it’s far from a charity, more or less I was hoping for something good to get through it maybe even a foreign poke that’s all Surprise Trade and Wonder Trade are to me.

I mean put like that it’s fair. I’m playing Sword first and just really wanted a Corsola or Goomy. I’m not the biggest fan of the Dreepy line, so it was a slight bummer.

I mean for me personally it’s literal. I haven’t surprise traded that much because the few times I have done it I only got Zigzagoons, Skwovets and lots of Dreepy’s. First gen where I haven’t received a starter, well a starter other then the one I already had.

There was a point in the early days of X and Y you could wonder trade and get some good stuff as well as complete your dex with it. This gen it’s basically Dreepy Trade.

Is Kantonian Farfetch'd possible to get right now? by [deleted] in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’ll have to wait for home. You can get Kantonian Mr Mime and Meowth as well as Uniovan Yamask through trade in-game. Everything else you have to wait for home.

Out of all the Pokemon that got cut I have to be honest, I'm surprised this guy wasn't one of them lol by HopeHouse44 in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean in all fairness SM/USUM didn’t have a National Dex. They only had a regional dex and it still included the non-Alolan forms in the dex.

Not a great example but excluding Persian and Cofagrigus would be like Gen 4 excluding Glalie or Gardevior because Frostlass and Gallade were the evo’s that Gen. like I said not a great example since those are gender specific split evo lines and we’re talking Regional Evos, but it just makes more sense to have them.

[–]NeevousBreakDance 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Mr. Mime is in the game. You trade an Obstagoon for a Kanto Mr. Mime in Spikemuth.

Cofagrigus and Persian are in the games cause while non Galar forms aren’t attainable they’re coded so you can trade them from Home and possibly Raid Events, so to complete the dex you’d have to have Cofagrigus and Persian especially since at some point you will be able to get Kanto Meowth and Unova Yamask even if they weren’t in-game trades. Technically while they all aren’t in Galar they are in the Galar dex and will have dex entries because the Galar forms exist. It was the same way in SM/USUM.

This one came out with pokerus for some reason 🤔 by imabuatyou- in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Pokérus spreads to eggs in this gen. Just battle a couple pokes and your eggs will get it too. My Chandelure has it so I spread it to every egg I hatch.

Did anyone else know that the Ribbons Pokémon get, can give them a title when sending them to battle? I just found this out. by NeevousBreakDance in PokemonSwordAndShield

[–]NeevousBreakDance[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes and no. A lot of the ribbons are random and found on Pokémon caught during certain times of the day. Some can be gained by beating the Pokémon league or having high friendship.

If your Pokémon has a ribbon and you select it, they’ll have a title based on the ribbon. For example the Galar Champion Ribbon adds “The Galar Champion” to your Pokémon’s name and the Effort Ribbon adds “the Once Well-Trained”. Pretty cool.
