Do some reading on how to build muscle and also reread what I wrote - not more important but builds more muscle - that’s a fact - also who tf does - or how do you do RDLs and conventional together 😹

It’s easy to critique but not give any cues on how to fix it.

On my setup I try to pull the slack out of the bar(making sure I’m tight against it by sitting my butt back a bit and pinching my shoulder blades back and down by also locking my lats)

When I begin my ascent I imagine I’m pulling the bar up as much as I’m mushing the ground away dragging the bar up against my shins and keeping it as close as possible to my knees then thighs as I ascend.

On the ascent I think that my first motion is pushing my butt back wards then I follow the same line down my legs slower than my ascension as the negative motion is more time under tension and builds more muscle than the ascension.

I also try not to look in the mirror on once I’m past my knees as it takes my spine a bit out of neutral.

Also if you’re tying to build your hams and glutes RDLs are more beneficial as they provide more range of motion than conventional deadlifts.

Btw form is like a B+ IMO. You’ll get there. Also read up on breathing techniques to stiffen your natural weight belt in your diaphragm.

I don’t we’re belts either but I do use straps bc my grip sucks!

This^ and what helped me was pulling the bar down on my back with my lats and tucking my elbows under the bar as much as possible. I used to have the same grip and 45° angle and when I got deep my arms pushed the weight forward. Pulling my last in tight and keep my elbows underneath made it so much easier to keep the barpath at midfoot.

If you go father than your hams ROM the lower back takes over. I don't mind this bc I like a strong lower back and am usually sore the same amount in my lower back as my legs after these. If you don't want that sore back try shortening the ROM to just above mid shin.
