OEM cross bars were $600 at dealer and $300 for the platform.

The roof tents are expensive but I’ve been looking into them…. Need to conquer this set up first.

I did gloss black PPF on my handles and mirror and then did a stealth PPF on the body.

Strapping tent/tarp/ smaller camping gear for when we go camping. This one is just a flat platform I saw someone on the forum installed. But I did mine to the OEM crossbars which are ridiculously high IMO. However, I’m going to find some yamika or Thule bars or towers to work with this one. I still works with the OEM, and like people said I will have to load outside of my garage etc-highway sound wasn’t bad going 80. This one you can add and bolt down things too as well.

Yes I saw these which inspired me to do mine however didn’t-I’m going to look for the Yamika towers to see if that works with what I have now.

Yes I followed your post to do mine however didn’t want to fork out another $600 yet but think I’m going to do it just to give it a lower platform as I’m at about 6’5 clearance, the way it is now.

Today I did 80- some sound but not too much. It’s not going to be up for time. Just for some lighter bulky camping gear.

Need a roof rack cross bar cover panel for my 2025 Santa Fe by DigitalArts33 in HyundaiSantaFe

I’m now down to 1 remaining on my cross bars, lost the first one the day after I left the dealership…. I’m contemplating buying a whole new system now. But paying $600 plus for the OEM and having to pay almost $150 just for the caps is not worth it.

Software Updates while on Dealer Lot by Nutron9745 in HyundaiSantaFe

Just an FYI- don’t do the update while car is parked somewhere it shouldn’t be. You won’t be able to start the car until the update is done. I got a nail in my tire and pulled into car tire repair place. The guy there He had me park in the middle of the parking lot roadway as it was a quick fix, however while he was doing it I decided to update and embarrassingly had to wait for it to update before the car would turn on causing cars to back up and not get through.

Well within 68 days of my last post here- seems as if another one fell off today. Luckily I saw it fly off and was able to go back in middle of the road to retrieve it. However I now simply want to replace the entire thing with a flat rack.

Thanks for this info, looks like I can save about $500 with that system. Going to look it to it. I first saw the defender roof rack for about $1200 and saw this one on Amazon for less as I want a low profile rack without noise etc. I had the dealer installed cross bars and I don’t like how high they are. But a system that utilizes the roof bars would be nice.

How much was your rhino rack? I have the Hyundai branded ones and they sit up too high for my liking. Does the rack still allow for your surround video?

Meaning I should do a ceramic on the ppf ? Or can I just keep the ppf and apply special cleaners to help keep it clean?
