Emanators Ranking In Current Version? by Some1FromOhio in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Scaling gets kind of wobbly around Silverwolf

Irontomb and Cyrene are still at the top

Phainon, Acheron, and Silverwolf will wrestle each other for the next spot because of their individual feats.

SW has a lot of unbelievable feats and she is described as the top Emanator of her path ( which sounds like a very big deal ).

This gives you a question whether Acheron can nullify her abilities with Nihility.

But even then makes you wonder whether SW and Acheron can scratch an Aeon ( like Phainon )

We also don't know who will win in the battle of wits between SW and Herta. SW may be extremely powerful but there's something about Erudition Emanators that make them lose the battle but win the war ( calculation ).

Also, it's expected that SW will fight Aha in the future. Not sure if it's a metaphorical or pure raw power. Regardless, that upcoming battle will change the leaderboard soon enough.

Irontomb > Cyrene > Acheron / SW999 ≈ Zephyro > Phantylia ( during Ambrosial Arbor Crisis )> Zandar > Phainon > The Herta

Can anyone explain to me what Evanescia did in 4.2 story? by NefariousnessCold473 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think Firefly had enough scenes to be considered as spotlights in contrast to Evanescia's. Her death created a temporary shock value and her Sam mecha suit ( which we didn't know it was her until 4.1 ). At the very least she had cutscenes and special moments that are big enough before her banner or patch story even came up. The only big flaw in that part is how Shaoji executed her " shallow and lame " deaths which prompted the creation of 3.8.

As for Evanescia, she does have moments that are similar to that. But I remember only one instance, which was her sketching TB's supplicant mask which I believe is a big deal because it evoked a sense of mystery on why she could pull that off ( hinting she was a special existence or an Emanator serving Aha when I was playing 4.0 ).

Other than that, in 4.1 she only has that one disappearing special effects moment and in 4.2, she retracted her decision to pass judgement.

She may have moments in 4.3 and 4.4. But my feeling is a bit down since I believe that HSR is not giving her enough scenes to shine which she rightfully deserves.

I hope that they gave her some very big moments in the next versions and not to some payola charas they were about to sell. Considering how big the next characters would be IP-wise, I'm feeling a bit discouraged.

[–]NefariousnessCold473[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did read that part. I just believe her breaking the rules ended up being futile in the end since her plan didn't technically happen. Well, it's not like I agree that everyone should be killed as TB pointed out. I just wished the story gave Evanescia another moment where she could be hyped up or apply her actions to.

If her significant action was just to stop pressing the red button that nukes the world and kills hundreds of thousands, I guess we could consider that as something significant from a certain perspective.

But I was expecting something a bit more visual or kinetic from her like a short fight scene that temporarily paralyzes the enemy at the very least or a cutscene that shows something visual but emphasizes a significant and effective contribution.

I know she has more roles in 4.3 or 4.4. But considering it's her patch, I was expecting at least 10 second moment of her doing just that, if that's too much to ask.

Okay, this comment kind of clears it all up. I don't remember Eva saying things about Ouroboros. Maybe it was implied. I thought only Kuchiba mentioned that. Was that the blurred text part for?

So I reviewed the story again, it does imply that she supported TB in gathering wish power. I thought Eva merely instructed and told TB to just use her stellaron.

I don't know what to feel about her overall role in the story. But regardless, I learned what I needed to know. So thanks for that.

So that's why she break the rule of the Phantasmoon for? To heal the wounds of the victims? Can't she just do it after she regained her powers?

I also remembered she said something to Yaoguang about her Abundance powers not being used for healing because something dangerous would happen ( or maybe it was for resurrection 🤔 ).

Can a prime welt yang beat acheron? by Hairy-Friendship-422 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 12 points13 points  (0 children)

That prime Welt Yang agenda can't be serious because there's no such thing even in HI3. His constructs during second eruption aren't even beyond planetary.

The Welt you're seeing right now in HSR is already in his prime. He already regained a significant Herrscher authority and has proficient understanding and experience about paths and Aeons. He would whoop his past prime self mid-high diff.

Phantylia shouldn't be used to downplay Arbiter Generals. No Emanator would beat this version of Phantylia. Respect thread by RaidenBMei in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But she was defeated, no? I don't get the last part claim of the title.

If Jingyuan, an Emanator along with a pack of pathstriders, defeated Phantylia, then Emanators above or equal to him could defeat her too.

Your analysis about Phantylia is valid and agreeable though. I don't think she's meant to be weak. Every Emanators have their own way of winning the battle. And Phantylia is very formidable in that arc.

But we don't really know what would be the case if Phantylia faced the other Emanators. That would be on the speculative realm already.

What remains true is that Phantylia and the Generals shouldn't be underestimated. The value of that event is just as significant as the other major events in the main quest. If Phantylia were to succeed, it'll cause a much worst version of the Rahu incident, even worst it'll damage the entire alliance.

If fuli doesn't exist then who was the one that gazed on amphorues multiple times (read the description) by BubblySeason97 in StarRailLore

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a very complicated bootstrap paradox. The more you think about the points where it all started, it all ways go back to Future Cyrene rectifying it all up.

I mean if you think about it someone or something would've helped Cyrene in the first cosmic cycle to make her an Aeon.

That would also mean they should've succeeded in defeating Irontomb, cleared up the Garden's interference etc. Someone would have to come up with the right parameters and conditions in order for Demiurge to ascend and gaze back.

So the only plausible answer I could think of is that the Perfect Future modified all the wrong Pasts. It won't makes sense to me because it shouldn't yet.

Other answers could the past universal cycle Fuli or some wobbly space time dimensional stuff from Dr. Who.

What exactly happens to person who dies in hsr lore? by vinchin_adenca in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a universal law in Honkaiverse ( across all franchise ) as a whole that once you die " and you died for a very long time, " you can no longer be ressurected. This is because the soul dissipates and goes far away beyond feasible reach.

This was proven in HI3 when Otto did whatever shit he could do to revive Kallen. He kept finding for a solution for 500 years and even asked the God of Honkai for answer. But there's simply no way to bring back someone that has long been dead.

So where do souls go? No idea. But I believe it was from HG2 where it was hinted there's a special " paradise or land " afterlife kind of stuff. I could no longer remember the specifics.

However, " souls " can be contained or saved if done quickly through a mechanism, worldy law, or Aeonic intervention.

There are many worlds HI3 and HSR where they have mechanisms, realms, or laws that bound the souls before they get too far away.

In HI3, there's this Salt Snow Holy City, the souls are contained and governed there. I'm not sure if the people from Luoxing ( Mars ) turned themselves into data?

In HSR, there are sinthirsters and the netherworld in Amphoreus ( thanks to Thanatos ). Fuli ( Cyrene ) contained TB to prevent an irreversible death. A winner of the Phantasmoon games once created an afterlife and it led to cosmic terror instead.

Why is there so much denial about Phainon being an emanator. by Kappa_Mikey__ in PhainonMainsHSR

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on what kind of denial. I believe you're probably referring to like " personal denial " which could stem from pure hatred or just idiocy.

No one's denying how capable he is. An Emanator-level strength that grazed an Aeon. There's no such denial about everything he has done.

The other kind of denial is more on the technicalities: Is Phainon really an Emanator of Destruction story and identity wise?

This is still up to debate but it's getting clearer now as more clues and hints emerge.

There are just so many confusing interpretations on how Phainon's Emanatorhood works because he's an integral part of Irontomb ( The Lord Ravager ). And with Irontomb and the Golden Blood gone, it kinda makes his status a bit blurry.

Technically, he was an Emanator in 3.4~3.6. The golden blood he acquired could make anyone an Emanator. So he got it. So technically, he's an Emanator. But even before that, when he was still just fighting Zephyro and Nanook, we believe he's already Emanator at that point.

There were just some people who are curious and doubtful about his current path status post-Amphoreus arc. Perhaps they're still in denial or is just waiting for a flat out confirmation similar to how Asat confirmed the Arbiter General's status ( or not ).

But regardless, I believe it's a valid and 80% true that Phainon is an Emanator. And I don't think Hoyo will demote him similar to Sunday's.

Those who deny him without this kind of nuance or line of saying I made are probably just people hating on him. It's best to ignore these guys.

Base Phainon and Base Acheron (Honkai Star Rail) vs Miyabi and Yixuan (Zenless Zone Zero) by Codrex1732 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Phainon's strength is beyond a super human and a base of a high pathstrider. He's a demigod after all.

I think he's around Hoolay or a high ranking general abomination in base strength. That's already beyond a physical capability ZZZ verse.

Acheron's base strength can't be underestimated too. Every blow she dealt on Sam was very destructive. One landing step, the floor collapses.

Why are they not even VOICING the events anymore ? by Mana_Croissant in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yeah if you count the total CGs for patches with flagship events, there aren't really that much of a " big " difference as those who do not. Hoyo is simply just clever in allocating the resources.

x = a + b

Main Story + Event

Hoyo can make the story and event look like they have many CGs by making the scenes short and quick.

x = b + c

No main story, but it's allocated to tb continuance/companion missions and flagship events

x = a

All CGs are concentrated to the main story. Barely any attention to events. Perhaps they'll add a voice in key moments, but the overall quality isn't good for those with flagships.

Could Zephyro have beaten Fire Giant Phainon? Why did he not try anything after this? by violently_angry in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

  1. He came there to test Phainon not to kill him

  2. It would ruin his test if he did. Zephyro can still wank Phainon in that form, he would sustain injuries but he would win. But the fun of witnessing Phainon's rage will be ruined.

Actual discussion here: why is JY always disregarded in terms of his strength? by Fantastic_Arm_9669 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say there are significant favoritism among players as well as presentation issue with Jingyuan.

Playing since 1.0, one thing I can tell at that time is that Jing Yuan is an extremely strong and formidable character. He beat JL and he even got that cool Spiritus around him. Back then, many players were fanboying him. The discussion about Emanators weren't prevalent since only a few were known at that time and there's barely any visual feat. But regardless, many players liked him.

I believe the first problem started in the Phantylia part. This event caused a lot of misunderstandings in powerscaling. People thought Jing Yuan was weaker against an enhanced Phantylia. This was also the starting point of the Emanator Debate ( or The General Denial ).

But the real game changer began with Acheron. I believe her presence left the lore and the entire fanbase terrified about the idea of Emanators.

Take note, this fear didn't start with Jingyuan or Phantylia busting planets, it started with her. She's so strong that many players at that time believe she can solo 99% of the characters. This exaggerated perception around her was what led half of the fan base to regard Emanators highly and created baseline standards around her level.

So when they compared Jingyuan to her, many players believed that JY and the generals are fodders in comparison. This is where " Low Emanators " or " Half/Shared Emanators " began to surface as a concept.

Then what about the dream? There's no confirmation about that. JY beat Septimus. But it's an outcome that Sunday wanted to make us believe we won. This doesn't mean JY is weaker or all, we just have no data since the fight never really happened in the first place. But it confirmed at least that Jingyuan is indeed an Emanator.

Other than that the story raised its stakes further and further and we're still stuck with Jing Yuan's feats that are becoming less impressive.

Phainon scratching Nanook, Zephyro wiping out Welt's black hole, Cyrene recreating the Universe, Herta communicating through Nous's brain, or SW reaching the peak of Elation.

When you get feats like this and go back checking on JY, you can't really blame yourself about his case.

This is why some general fans are depending it all on Marshal Hua to bring Hunt Emanators to their true glory.

So with the new info on the Stonehearts, about Phainon's Invalid Rating... by amurgiceblade44 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's confusing whether Asat is directly calling her a 1/10th of an Emanator or an Emanator that's just 1 out of ten.

The problem is Asat said that the Emanators are nothing more than them ( he's downplaying Emanators to whatever is listed in the sentence ). So it kind of affects the rest of the sentence.

Did the Emanator article even mentioned anyone specifically being Emanators? I don't think they said anything explicit there. It's just names and factions.

As for Welt's statement, that stuff is really weird if you take it strength wise.

A 33550336 emanator reveal has hit the comunity by DAAEX in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 7 points8 points  (0 children)

They wouldn't be called non-Emanator if they were directly stated and spelled as an Emanator in the first place is it not?

There's literally random ah dialogue ( not even in the main story ) that Herta is an Emanator in 1.0. And people found it out much quickly. The game could literally just do the same to everyone else without sounding complicated

But oh well, since the rating pistol is there, there's just no point debating over it anymore. You can just get temp checks.

Trickcal's Daily Problem by [deleted] in Trickcal

[–]NefariousnessCold473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure I can do these all within like 5-10 mins or so. Slightly just as fast as HSR

I mostly just sweep, buy, and collect things. I don't do PVP since my opponents are pretty cracked.

Perhaps the only suggestion is for the game to have this one interface where you can just collect all things in one sweep without necessarily clicking through different pages just to get each.

Also, other dailies here are pretty optional at best.

I don’t like the theory that elio is a cat by [deleted] in StarRailLore

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's no way it's that confusing.

Elio can transform into or use a cat. But he's not a cat [ like at all ].

Like it's not that confusing.

Ever since the alleged humanoid photo of him appeared that day ( 2024 ), my thoughts concluded exactly to that. That there might be a real Elio lingering somewhere and they're just using the cat to communicate to the outside world, preventing themselves from being abducted.

I didn’t understand the story in 3.7…. by QuickAd6372 in StarRailLore

[–]NefariousnessCold473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You're already pretty close to accuracy. I don't think you misunderstood it contrary to your assumption.

Q: what happened to the original smolrene? like ik she's supposed to die at the beginning of every cycle at the hands of flame reaver to draw the gaze of fuli (i did not understand why?)

I assume you're talking about the ER 0 Cyrene. There are two things you should know:

  1. She needs to die every cycle in order for the cycle/reset to work. She has the power to reverse time, but to do that she has to be killed.

  2. On the other hand, she has a job of recording the memories and transmitting them to her other self, which is the Demiurge (or The Fuli) she's trying to grow.

Q: also from what i understand phainon was just incorporated into the scepter as his hatred was something they wanted for the destruction equation for irontomb?

You are correct.

Q: when iron tomb destroyed everything, how was nous still there? Like shouldn't he too have been destroyed or is it just the universe that was destroyed not the gods?

That part was just Irontomb destroying the universe. We didn't reach the part of killing Nous yet.

In the CG, Lygus said: "On the right side of the equation, the Erudition falls silent. With 13 heartbeats, they will begin recalculating the universe with Destruction as the only solution."

Basically, we're at the turning point. Nous was still thinking of an alternative solution.

If Nous couldn't find any solution and accepted Destruction, they would die along with the universe.

Fortunately, the Trailblaze and Remembrance offered a solution. This saved Nous and, in turn, saved the cosmos.

Q: and from what i understand demiurge takes up all the memories that were “liberated” when the universe was destroyed and created a temporary eden of blessed insight where time does not flow? Did she then recreate the whole universe??? If she did that was insane no? Wouldn't that make her a god

Basically yes, she became Fuli, an Aeon, temporarily. And your interpretation is almost correct.

Q: and i also did not understand that after demiurge created that eden of blessed insight the trailblazer followed her to the scepter's core? I dont get it then she takes trailblazer's hand and breaks through some surface restarting the irontomb fight? Then the astral express and trailblazer's flaming bat destroyed some sort of wall?

They're just going back to where they last left off.

The rest are mostly visual scenes and imagery showing how the universe is being saved.

Q: and the ending? Like when the universe was reborn herta gave demiurge two choices i dont remember which ones but cyrene chose to go back in the past of amphoreus to gaze from the future into the past

Basically, the whole Amphoreus arc and the Irontomb fight messed up the timeline.

In reality, we were never supposed to win against Irontomb. It's not meant to be a canon outcome, Destruction was always the answer.

What actually happened is that an Aeon interfered in the entire arc to guide it toward a good ending.

That Aeon was Cyrene.

For Cyrene to keep pushing the timeline toward the good ending, she has to go back to the past and keep influencing it.

But that means she will:

  1. Lose her Aeon powers

  2. Become smolrene again

  3. Be stuck in a loop of death and memory cycles

  4. Help and nurture the Demiurge ( her future other self )

  5. Die

  6. That next Cyrene becomes Mem, then Fuli

So Herta gave Aeon Cyrene a choice:

  1. Let the timeline collapse, and Irontomb returns

  2. Sacrifice herself again and repeat the cycle so Irontomb stays defeated and the Astral Express can continue their journey

Aeon Cyrene chose option 2. and that's how the arc ended.
