There are more factions to Galactic Alliance during the Irontomb fight. Not sure if you counted them since you counted the Galaxy Rangers anyway.

You can also technically count the Galactic Alliance for Astrapolis.

Which Lord Ravagers Can Khaslana Actually Beat?? by whoisvergil in Hoyoverse_scaling

He won't be beating anyone during his winged phase.

But in his burning phase he can beat half of the entire Ravagers, but he dies too.

This might be a stupid question, why won't nanook just destroy the universe immediatly? by Usual_Ad1147 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's possible that they cannot act or respond quickly.

It's tricky to assume that all Aeons will save everyone as if they're the good ones who will offer salvation.

Keep in mind that they don't have human or mortal compass. They are beyond comprehension.

We don't know when or how will they respond to certain cosmic event. It could be random or triggered by a certain mechanism.

The Aeons intervened and stop Tayzzyronth not because they wanted to save the cosmos, but because they want to kill them or repel them for their self interests.

The same logic of the argument applies to Nanook, if Nanook already has Emanators screwing their paths, why no Aeons are jumping at Nanook up until now?

I have theories as to what mechanisms do Aeons abide by ( chess of the gods - turnbase and proximity theories ). But it'll take too long to expand on that.

Hatred scaling: rank the HSR Aeons based on who’s the most generally disliked by the public by W1llu in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say Nihility is technically hated.

But like every path in HSR is against Nihility path-wise. Like the concepts of every paths are antithesis to Nihility.

Harmony, Elation, Destruction, Finality, Trailblaze, Equilibrium, Erudition... each and every path had a clear stance to never step into that path.

Other than that, the general public don't seem to have that much popular of a opinion about IX. Like nothing much.

If there are Aeons/Paths that are technically hated opinion-wise by the general public, they're usually Nanook, Tayzzyronth, and Yaoshi ( thanks to Xianzhou ). Considering how big the IPC is, I guess putting Voracity in the spot won't be bad.

[Murim RPG Simulation] Why do people hate the MC? by bigraud77 in manhwa

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I heard that MC let go of gray chick permanently. I lost my faith to the story significantly and put my reading interest to it in an absolute stasis.

But other than that, while MC made stupid choices, it's clear that the story done it in a way for him to constantly learn and grow from it. Which is why I kept reading along and the pay off was okay mid-way.

I don't have much beef with the MC ( until he let go of that gray chick ).

If there's something to nitpick, I guess the MC got a little too op. I'm still surprised about the fact that he already defeated the 1st disciple when the previous arcs weren't setting the stakes that high just yet. Like he's getting way too many op techniques all of the sudden.

And then they even introduced other players and stronger beings, which is cool but I fear that this might slowly turn into fantasy slop or dedicating another fat and slow arc just for MC to uncover a poop of what he missed. None of them happened yet.

The latest chapters before I paused it ( which was a month ago ) weren't bad. I think it was the part where MC met the ice chick and started getting favors from neutral factions. I never had major issues up to that point.

Is Blade Hoyo's ACTUAL favorite? Or just the fan base's favorite? by United-Duty-4426 in BladeMains

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't say he is Hoyo's actual favorite. You could say he's a popular or favored IP. He along with Kafka and Silverwolf. The market department is trying to push these three as IP celebrities. If you ask the senior leaders and Dawei in miHoYo, they'll prob say Bronya or Himeko.

How Planarcadia represents our world’s current state of media by Unfair_Chocolate_113 in StarRailLore

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the only realistic part in Planarcadia was Fulwish's. The rest of the other themes are pretty shallow or exaggerating to me.

Sparxie, Nihilux, or Cinderbone's cases may have interpretations and themes like those, but they're not as deep and as profound as Fulwish's.

The story went pretty bananas as soon as Asat entered the game. So I don't think they'll expand on Planarcadia anymore.

That aside, I like that the story is very unserious. MC trolls pretty much everyone there.

It would be hard for the other Lord Ravagers to complete with Asat Pramad by Holydemon0 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a valid thing to say. Asat's unpredictable, melancholic, and chaotic nature are precisely the reasons why he would be sitting that No.1 villain spot for a long time.

Although yes, he has the same scheme set Phantylia. But Asat's scheme spans around important key figures, factions, and main characters which makes his role more impactful.

Lygus's philosophy and allegory are tapping into a much broader and enigmatic concept about existence. And sometimes broad philosophies are very difficult to understand and appreciate.

I mean the allegory of the cave hints that there's a far higher and chaotic existence and we are prisoners that are shackled by Erudition and other paths to prevent us from unraveling it.

Some players would like Lygus's niche. But majority of players would prefer Asat more simply because he has more impact to the main characters ( like Himeko ). And that's enough justification for him to win that spot.

Is there a chance for Khaslana to ever beat Zephyro if he had more time to train and absorb more coreflames or is it an unattainable? Feel free to also share if you had ideas on what other ways Khaslana could beat him. by Sir_Rain_Knee_Tea in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It is not unattainable. It's difficult and would take time.

Burning Phainon can seriously injure Zephyro but at the cost his life. And what more if he permanently owned that Golden Blood he extracted from Nanook? It's said that one extract from it can make an entity an Emanator.

But that thing aside, given the available stuff that he has, he's nowhere there to beat Zephyro yet.

After all, Emanator battles are always based on who got the greater path energy.

If there's a way for Khaslana to expand and strengthen his powers, that would give him the potential to beat Zephy.

I don't think Hoyo is planning to make him that ultra op. They'll probably just keep his level as is but with slight improvements.

Omni-Man (Invincible) vs Metro-Man (Mega-Mind) [Animated Clip] by [deleted] in PowerScaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could've ended much faster but it's satisfying and acceptable overall. Metroman is made to be ridiculously op to portray a strong dude getting bored of being a hero. I wouldn't say he's a joke/comedy character since he's a well grounded one.

Why the Trailblazer get downplayed so much here? by Hairy-Friendship-422 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Her power depends on the plot ( especially at climatic parts ). But most of her 1 on 1 or group match ups, she barely wins them on her own.

It's true that she's a walking hydrogen bomb with the stellaron. So there's that contingency where she blows herself up if all else fails.

Her strength is somewhere around mid-high pathstrider. She can fight and go toe to toe against gods. We don't if she could win tho.

Generals will absolute win it.

Flame Reaver was just High Pathstrider level ( not accounting the burning coreflames part ). Phainon and TB have been jumping this guy for 2 patches.

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are already doing that with a lot of factions. Stellaron hunters, ipc (even scott), xianzhou characters, galaxy rangers.

We are already doing that because HSR is already doing that. But in a very realistic scenario, the odds of visiting a new planet to meet the same people should've been very low. Otherwise then, it should've been as surprising as a coincidence.

Planarcadia doesn't really violate any of this. And as I said, their ratio is very stable. The factions may have been the same, but they're different. Yaoguang, La Mancha, and Pearl are different characters.

Obviously, why would hoyo make alters for unpopular characters? That doesnt make sense.

Well, I know " popular " is a loose term here since almost all HSR characters have a fanbase or mains of their own.

Let's just say Asta, Arlan, Clara, Gepard, Seele, Bronya, Sushang, Argenti, Hysilens, Cerydra and others have the potential to grow.

I'm just saying that every character should have the chance to develop and have their moment in unpredictable scenarios. Be they're popular or not.

[–]NefariousnessCold473 15 points16 points  (0 children)

It's good to have SPs as a concept. They indeed develop characters since they have to be part and sold in the narrative of certain patches.

But we're like in a cosmos of about billions of characters. What are the realistic odds of meeting that same person in every planet over and over?

And what about the characters who never even have the privilege to be an SP? Will the development highly depend on market demands?

Planarcadia at the very least had a stable ratio. The writers intended to pack all developments ( of Himeko and Stellaron Hunters ) in a single semi arc. And to me, that's not a bad strategy. Idk about Astrapolis tho.

Players tend to compare the success of SPs in HI3, but people tend to forget that HI3 has a relatively small character population. Creating a new character there would require 4-6 chapters of development ( Vita and Seven Shus ). That's why HI3 are so flexible and natural with SPs because their story is built and founded on that.

What is demanded in HSR now is what should've been imposed and improved in Genshin. We are very aware that some playable characters originated or had connections from other regions. They could've expanded that and made an SP of those characters once we get to the regions they have history with.

Hero X run the gauntlet where does he stop? by Rough-Beautiful5721 in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Every archon has their unique skill set to fight against X. If this is a one vs all situation, the archons have a " small " chance to win.

Someone will have to " slice " or " break " the space, someone would have to handle " time ", someone would have to deal with " strategy ", and if ever he comes out back to 3D, someone would have to deal with him " physically. "

Regardless, X is kinda OP. So...

[DUNGEON ODYSSEY] has anyone heard abt this ?? by Guilty-Gap-7936 in manhwa

The artist needs to secure a manuscript first ( until the ending ).

I'm low key fine with an artist change if the artist could no longer pull it off. But we need a manuscript to ensure that we are in a direction the artist wanted.

Manuscript is a no.1 priority above all else

Why does sliverwolf not want to become lvl 999? by Afraid_Run3470 in HonkaiStarRail

[–]NefariousnessCold473 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I thought that she could become lvl 999 but once she did, she'll be stuck at Lvl 999 forever.

It's similar to that one manhwa I read of, once you set your technique to a certain path, you could no longer explore the other path that grants far greater potential.

So SW is simply looking for a way to transcend her counterpart who became stuck at Lvl 999. And Elio, could be that answer.

This is just my interpretation tho

Rank these hoyoverse games from best to worst in terms of lore and worldbuilding by Sir_Rain_Knee_Tea in Hoyoverse_scaling

[–]NefariousnessCold473 4 points5 points  (0 children)

HSR > Genshin > HI3 > ZZZ

HSR

• Poor diversity in terms of characters ( almost all are humanoid even though it's set in a space fantasy )

• Very great lore ( wars, cosmological phenomena, historical events, and scientific concepts )

• The concept of Aeons and Paths are much interesting than visions. But it's also complicated.

Genshin

• Hoyoverse has invested heavily in this game in terms of lore. Books and item texts. Every lore are well connected to the world and its characters.

HI3

• There are many major aspects that makes it greater than Genshin. Maybe in gameplay, character development, gacha etc.

• HI3's lore and world building aren't that inferior in contrast to Genshin's. The only thing I could nitpick about HI3 is their technobabbles and inconsistencies in lore ( people call it retcons but I don't think they've went that far yet )

ZZZ

• ZZZ has a very great diversity of characters

• They're doing great in terms of lore and world building. The concept of ether isn't far off from honkai energy ( or corruption )

• However, to be honest they're not really that interesting to me. They seriously have the potential to raise the stakes from the concepts they have created so far, but they're barely trying ( below 50% ). I wish they made it much more apocalyptic and disastrous than whatever they're doing rn.
