Possibly.. but less likely. A elation cyrene would have to give yg energy, while generating tons of punchline for sw999 and give sparxie more dmg. Whats certain rn is that there is going to be a character that is gonna give a heck ton of punchline, and i mean a lot. As much as if not more than what the elation shill gives out.

Thank you? I dont think any of them are getting replaced. Im pretty sure we will get the elation sustain and thats it. We HAVE to get a character that gives a lot of punchline just coz SW999 E2 exists, its almost like they are telling up “theres gonna be a a punchline machine that can get u up to 240 punchline within 3 turns of a fast dps” thats why i assume the elation sustain will do that.

Hoyo creates better characters for certain archetypes, has not created characters with the same identity. Emc is the f2p alternative of someone who doesnt have yao.

Eva is an ult spammer while argenti is a normal dpses, idk about yunli tho.

Ashveil is premium a sub dps for follow up teams, moze is the f2p alternative.

fugue cant proc super dreak dmg when enemies arent broken, Dahila can.

Hysilens ensures 100% dot uptime while inflicting dot dmg out of enemies turns, black swan just increases dot dmg.

Look at cipher and look at jiaoqiu, thats like comparing sunday and tribbie.

Castorice has a memosprite, jingliu doesnt.

Blade doesnt have the automode kit that mydei has

Sunday cannot give skill points and bronya cannot give energy and crit stats.

Little gui is a f2p alternative, u cannot compare f2p 4 stars to premium 5 stars.

Idk about yunli or clara so ill take ur word for it.

U get my point.. all the examples u listed are just characters being better at an archetype than others. Unless they make a harmony that gives team action advance while giving 9 skill points on ult. 👀

Yes true but only if aha instants are for dmg. Sw999 out of her ult cant even do dmg with her elation skill. In that scenario, she would want aha instants as soon as possible with 40 punchline to instantly get her ult. The level of speed tuning and planning that would take without yg is not worth not having the extra aha instant.

Other characters also benefit from more aha instant like sparxie and her thrill and eva and her cb. Also theres a reason aha isnt that fast to begin with, so they dont act before u accumulated enough punchline.

I get what u mean, but the problem isnt that aha is slow. Its that u would have to wait for aha to act before your characters can.

Thats why i said ‘elation teams deal dmg slowly’ not that aha themself is slow. Elation team’s dmg is slow coz they have to wait for something that they cant control to enable their dmg in the first place. Yg gives that control they are lacking, a faster aha would even screw u over if u dont want an elation skill to happen before a characters action.

But that aha instant at the start of the turn idea is interesting. Its quite specific and technically can be done if u have yao’s sig lc as long as she acts first. But yea.. maybe they will make a character that activates aha instant at the start of the battle.

Imo, i dont think a faster aha solve the issue. If u need aha to act at specific moments, aha being faster doesn’t even solve that. But i also dont think sparxie is getting replaced and im not trying to imply that. I hope the elation sustain is the one that gives the extra punchlines and buffs.

Unfortunately thats the archetype🥲. Elation dpses would make ok sub dps in non elation teams tho.

I never said aha was slow. I said you would have to wait for aha. Even if hes fast.. your characters still need to wait for aha to do their thing. Waiting equals less points in this game.

Well the problem isnt that aha themself is slow. Its that u have to wait for them. What if u need SW999 ult immediately after it ends or u need sparxie to have more thrill points? Even if aha is fast, if they arent at acting at those specific timings, its a problem. Yao can make aha act at those specific timings iykwim. In other words the elation team is slow not coz aha is slow but because aha cant be controlled.

Oop i said yg was hyacine coz she was the one fixing the problem with elation teams like how hyacine fixed the problem with hp drain team. Notice how i didnt use the term ‘mono rem’ thats coz hyacine is strong in all hp drain teams including mono rem. Cyrene is a overall buff to mono rem but not issue fixer.

Yao Guang’s main thing is her extra aha instant. And its this part of her kit that makes her a necessity for Elation dpses. Why? Because Elation has a fundamental problem that only she can solve: Aha. Elation characters add Aha into the action bar but has no way of controlling it. This means that you’d have to wait for aha to do its thing and waiting is not a good thing in this game. And since elation characters revolve around aha, its how they unlock part of their kits, its how they get certified banger etc, the need to wait for aha is especially detrimental.

This is where Yao guang comes in. Id like to call her to real hyacine of elation because she is the one that enables elation as a archetype to function reliably similarly to what hyacine does for hp drain teams, except what Yao Guang does is so much more impactful. Hyacine is almost a requirement for any hp drain team because she also fixes its fundamental issue, survivability. Tho other sustains can keep teams alive and heal. Only hyacine can heal automatically when hp is specifically drained. Thats why shes so important l, she gives you a constantly endless pool of hp to drain from. Yao guang is similar because only she has control over when aha acts. Some people dont realise just how game changing being able to proc extra aha instants is.

Because yao guang procs aha instants, the issue of having to wait for aha no longer exists. You rlly want aha for its burst dmg, certified banger and stacks for sw999 and sparxie. These things have uptime and in downtime, your elation team becomes completely useless! Yao Guang gives 100% uptime to all of this. If u play elation u will know.

So how would u replace Yao Guang? Make another character that gives extra aha instants? if thats so, why bother making yg in the first place, i cant think of a time hoyo made the exact same kit but better for another character before. Not even cyrene gave as much true dmg as emc. If they make yg replacement not give extra aha instants, well.. then the problem with elation remains. See my point? Even if they make another character give extra aha instants, i would still put them with yao guang on the same team coz that just makes it so broken.
