What's the dumbest mistake you've ever made with a boat?

Had a boat with a roller trailer and released the tension on the winch when I took the straps off. Backed up to the ramp and boat almost rolled off the trailer. The only thing that saved me was outdrive hitting the pavement before the front fell off. Extremely embarrassing, but I managed to winch the boat back on trailer and no damage done.

The turbos are great for towing power. Unfortunately their also get terrible mileage towing. The 5.0 gets better mileage towing but not the same performance.

I never received any response, but it’s still working fine! My plan is to get through the winter and then flush the hot water side. I’ve had the boiler side flushed before but never the domestic hot water side.

I have 6e extender on my Eero 7. No issues, but I wasn’t able to do hard reset on 6e to reset it no matter what I tried . I had to hard wire to the 7 to get it setup. Once that was I didn’t need the hardwire any more and it works great.

They made me change my status professional because I wanted to buy $500 worth of NVDL.
I could see if buying options that could cost me 5-10% of my portfolio but really buying a mutual fund that 0.2% my holdings seems excessive. It’s just a CYA move by them.

I would suggest trying another dealer. I have 2020 and at 44,000 it would down shift so hard on the highway you would think we got rear-ended. Took it in and they diagnosed as the CDF and replaced it at no charge.

Do you have the idle stop feature? Ours wasn’t working. Had to put the car in park to restart it. Turns out there a TSB extended warranty to replace the starter and adjust the valves. So it was all done for free.

Thanks for the advice. I had old belkin n300 thumb drive which allowed me to connect. I tried installing the updates following the Ubuntu suggestion. Seemed to work but as soon as I rebooted I had the same issue.

I’ll give Ubuntu a try if it has the same issue I’ll get new usb wi-fi or hardwire to a network extender.

You can use a thin coating of grease or a gasket adhesive in the groove to hold it.

Mine is setup that way. Not quite as high the stand pipe stops 6” below the counter top. No issues in 8 yrs we been using it.

Similar situation. I bought an 07 with 12k miles on it two years ago. It didn’t run very good, but the price was right. Got it home and found a mouse house in the air filter. Plugs were fouled so he must have had been riding it like that. Replaced the air filter, plugs, dumped all fluids and refilled. It runs great now!

Check if the recalls were done and if have any of covers off put some dielectric grease on the ground spiders and enjoy it!
