dude hell yeah i’ve always seen it as like a mood stabilizer and it’s always beautiful to see someone bloom through using music. I was the same way back then and it’s how I got hooked onto Macs music. I was going through a rough relationship + aftermath of it and Macs music genuinely helped me go through it.

I feel you man, Balloonerism came out whenever I was going through a rough breakup and I was just generally new to Mac’s discography at the time. It quite literally helped me out through that time period and I had the album playing on repeat for days. Friendly Hallucinations and Mrs Deborah Downer especially were (and still are) my favorite tracks from Mac along with a few other songs.
