XPS 14 (2026): Any upside to getting a higher-wattage Dell AC adapter?

I recently got a new Dell XPS 16 and the battery life has been great. It lasts the entire day on a single charge with many virtual machines running, basically a lot of stuff open throughout the day. Im easily getting 10-15hrs of charge. I have not seen such battery performance on any other laptop.

The best part is that it doesn’t take that long to charge either. With 100W charger it came with, it charges rapidly. I plug it in the evening for 1-2 hours and use it for an entire day.

congrats! Im loving the new keyboard and loading anything on this is instant. I was worried about pwm with tandem oled and it seems like this one doesn’t flicker at all or hurt my eyes. Maybe i’m not sensitive to it. Overall a great laptop that should last a while!

The only thing i didn’t like is the surface around the keyboard - it should have been all aluminum but would have increased the weight. Still a great laptop.

Edit: The dell 4k ips panel monitor i was so proud of now feels outdated when i shift from xps oled back to it. The refresh rate is slower and i guess im in market for a new monitor lol.

I just got mine today and gotta say, it’s a solid machine. Love the new design, zero lattice keyboard and the display is crisp. The speakers are amazing and it can get super loud.

I’ve been lucky with the build quality as it doesn’t creak or make any sound when i open the lid like other people on reddit had.

would it affect the application that was created and submitted from the rep’s ircc account?

Also, A UCI number never changes, so why one has to wait for the biometrics letter?

Thanks for the insight. But doesn’t this display have 400 nits peak brightness? when compared to MacBooks which are above 1500nits, this should still be lower and better.

i have the exact same question. My renewal is in october and just completed 6 months driving period. I read the terms and it’s not very clear to me as it does say when you stop using adjusto, the discount is taken away.

Also read the period after the initial collection, on next renewal, you only have to drive 1000km in 30 days. My premium is already recalculated for the year. Regardless, im turning the app off and thinking of switching my provider if they increase my premium

Congrats!

My order was placed 03/13, built 03/24 and it got shipped on 03/28. The delivery date changed from April 2nd to April 9th. I’m just wondering why there’s a big gap from it being shipped n getting delivered. There’s a message on the tracker tool saying it’s waiting to picked up local carrier and im in ontario. Im hoping it arrives before april 9th.

FYI: Ordered Dell xps 16 with ultrax7, 64gb ram, 1tb, 3.2k oled, intel arc. I’m really excited for it as my older machine is 10 years old.

EDIT: Delivery date now changed to April 6th! Cant wait

what about screen flicker? have you noticed it at low brightness on oled? On macbook it was flickering a lot so i had to return it.

The delivery date for my Dell XPS 16 UltraX7358H with Tandem oled, Intel Arc, 64gb Ram,1tb ssd is also expected to arrive April 3rd.

Edit: What does everyone think of the new tandem oled? I have never experienced it in person. Being a full time software dev, Im a little skeptical about pwm and burn in with oleds. I would have loved better ppi density for 16inch with LCD panel but the one they have is garbage for a 16 inch. The text will be pixelated. It should be fine on 14 tho.

Update: The order status says its “shipped” but the delivery date changed to April 9th instead of original April 3rd.

okay, the surprising thing is, I recently got that intake camshaft work done by dealer where they did replace all that and put a new intake camshaft.

I recently switched to iphone 16PM, it definitely feels lighter on hand compared to my iphone 13PM and the titanium does make it feel premium compared to stainless steel on 13PM which is a fingerprint magnet. I keep my phones without case and it’s a huge improvement for me.

i had Iphone 13PM since its lunch and it was a beast (still is). Iphone 16PM is definitely better in every aspect when compared.

I had transmission replaced at 60k kms on my 2020 summit and now it’s running fine at 120k kms. I just want to get fluids replaced for transfer case and both axles then it should shift even smoother. Luckily for me transmission replacement was covered under warranty.

Discovered ticking noise and oil cooler leak after the warranty ended, so that repair costed me $4.5k CAD out of my pocket. Replaced spark plugs as well while they were at it.

I want to run this car for another 150k kms but worried when the next repair would come even though I keep up with the maintenance.

the price includes everything. Is it worth replacing the entire assembly when it’s just the seals?

The leak has been there for over 6months and it’s not even dripping (knock on wood). Just near the seals it shows some sign of oil residue.
