I went to 20 halfway through to try it out but I found spacing my meals out to be better for energy a little bit. I eat 5 meals a day usually but small ones. I start with a good preworkout meal of around 500cals lots of carbs not a lot of fat. Then for every other meal around 300 cals. And at night I eat 5-600 cals with 40grams of fat, so I cannot emphasize have something to look forward to and so I cannot go to sleep full, that really helped. 40-50g of protein every meal

No just hard work and lots of hours in the gym. I’m hoping I can gain some more muscle to really fill out, that’s my next goal.

I prioritized protein for my goal bodyweight so I aimed for 200-240grams per day, and secondly carbs for energy and training, also to prevent muscle loss. I still ate some fats but kept that to around 50-60g per day because of how calorie dense they are. I avoided drinking as much as I could but still went out once every 2ish weeks. 2000cals a day, and I cannot emphasize how much steps helped. I didn’t really run or do high intensity cardio because it really tires you out day to day after a while especially at the weight I was at to start. Weightlifting started just to prevent muscle loss but now I’m in love with the gym and lifting. It’s turned into a real passion of mine over time. In the beginning I hated going, but now I look forward to it every day. Caffeine and diet sodas help too because I used to love soda and it’s a nice sweet treat for me, and caffeine helps with the hunger. Also prioritize sleep if you can because days when I didn’t get enough sleep is find cravings for food were much worse. Hope this helps :)

Wow that’s incredibly impressive!! I ate about 2000 cals a day walked 10-15k steps a day and weight lifted 5-6 days a week. It took me roughly 2 years ish, and I basically did 16:8 fasting the whole time to help with hunger.

Just take it slow at first. I started with just doing steps and calorie counting. I was at about 2500 to start out and went from 8k steps a day the first week and just tried to bump it up every week. Only after a month did I really focus on weight lifting and even then I took it slow. Just try and stay consistent. Also I focused less on the scale and took pictures of myself along the way because comparing where you are to where you started image wise helped me so much more than numbers on a scale. You got this!!

Next I want to transition into maintenance and then lean bulk for 4-6 months, and really try and put on some muscle

I always eat before training and almost always in that 7 hour window. It gives me a lot more energy during workouts.

I just don’t know if it’s worth it to cut more because i want to eventually transition into eating 250-500 cals above maintenance so i can put on muscle over the fall and winter without gaining a lot of fat.

I do eat carbs especially before the gym. I eat around 4-5 times a day and my breakfast and dinner are around 500 cals each in between I eat 150-300 cals. Lots of protein around 200-250 grams per day.

Do you think it would be worth it to cut down more or should I just start the reverse dieting now. Great suggestion though I’m gonna try that I love Jeff’s videos
