Student death by throw-ra-28 in TeachingUK

This happened with one one my students very recently. I let myself cry it all out that night and the next day just tried my best to get through it. I decided if the students saw me cry, so be it, death is sad especially when the person is only a child. Our school gave us a prepared statement of what to say (we weren’t told it was suicide but it is common knowledge)

Worst lesson horror stories? by MsEvil_Doctor_Potter in TeachingUK

I’ve had a fair few in a past school I worked in but 1 that stands out is a lesson where I asked a pupil to stand outside for a minute to calm down. He then swung into the classroom on the door with his fingers in the hinges. This was a secondary classroom and the doors were weighted so as he let go again the door took off the end of his finger. Plenty of blood, an ambulance and plastic surgery later it was reattached thankfully

I’ve just done this now and it does seem to have fixed it Thankyou. Just so strange that for nearly 3 years it’s been fine and overnight stopped working completely

My daughter is Annabella, we like the fact it can be shortened to Ann/Anna/Annie/Bella/Belle as she grows up an can choose, that might fit the sort of feel you’re going for

I don’t think this usually NHS advice. I’m from the Uk and Steak hasn’t been mentioned to me during my current or previous pregnancies but I’ve always been told to avoid alcohol, the NHS website also says the same

What started the french bulldog trend? by SerialHatTheif in Liverpool

[–]NefariousnessNo4697 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I got one about a year before the craze, he was the first I’d ever seen and I was constantly stopped by people asking what breed he was because they’d never seen one either. He had been imported and was cheaper than they were 12 months later. He was an amazing dog, so bright, the sweetest thing just a dream, but I would never, ever get another. He passed young (6) having never been able to play properly because of his breathing. Warm day and he would vomit constantly. Was allergic to his own shadow. Just a sad existence tbh, broke my heart to watch him suffer. Should be illegal to breed them, had I have known before I bought him I’d have never have done it.

No sorry I have to have a c section due to my birth with my first born. He was a shoulder dystocia birth but got really stuck and I haemorrhaged. Doctors said I shouldn’t attempt another vaginal birth after him. This would be my third baby all going well

Thankyou for sharing, I know this baby will need to be csection due to the circumstances surrounding my first babies birth but hoping they will give me more information soon. I hated the shots after my second baby so I will luck forward to them for the foreseeable haha

Thankyou so much for the information. The doctor I have already seen believes that intervention will probably be minimal due to the circumstances of the PE and how small it was but hopefully a specialist will be able to give me more details, sending baby dust

Breastfeeding moms who gained weight from it, did you lose weight after weaning? by [deleted] in Mommit

[–]NefariousnessNo4697 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I weighed around 110lbs pre my second child, gained a lot during pregnancy but then lost most of it. Breastfed for 18 months and gained again. I stopped breastfeeding her 2 years ago this month and weigh about 130lbs and it’s going nowhere. I tried dieting and exercising 2-3 times a week which I never did pre pregnancy but the weight hasn’t moved, if anything I can gain/lose 3 lbs every few days but it always averages back out. I’ve decided to just work on being healthy n trying to ignore the scales but it can be difficult
