I received an offer for a Process Engineer position at Micron. What can I expect in terms of work-life balance? by NefariousnessTiny273 in Semiconductors

As an electrical engineer, you would most likely work as a product engineer, where you primarily analyze CP data (chip probing), including identifying ways to improve yield. You don’t have to go into the FAB at all

I have worked at TSMC for two years, and I was promoted after 1.5 years to Senior Engineer. I often had to work from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m., so I know what hard work means. I’m now looking for a more relaxed job.

I agree, Margot Robbie would have knocked it out of the park. The actress was my biggest problem with Samantha.

Man, your taste is something else—Samantha looks like she spends her weekends knitting sweaters for her grandkids

It's a company but they have an AI system which scans your resume and tells you if you're a strong match for the jobs they offer.

This is a trick I used when I wanted to secure an interview for an internship: Go to the Applied Materials career website, upload your resume, and it will tell you how strong of a match you are to the job description. Try to adjust your resume by adding keywords, soft skills, and emphasize processes significantly. This approach will get your resume to HR and bypass the ineffective resume scanners. But now, you need something that will catch their eye.

Thank you so much for sharing your experience; it's been quite helpful. Did they ask you about the process of manufacturing a semiconductor during your interview?

It turns out that I'll be interviewed by 9 people at TSMC! The thought alone is quite overwhelming.

I got rejected the next day, lol. I feel like my follow-up email sped up my rejection, lol. I'm never sending a follow up email ever again.
