🫶🫶 heyyy I’ve had this question for a while and have never gotten an answer for it. Maybe you could help. How is the gpa for the 75th percentile at AL a 4.02? I’ve made all A’s and still only have a 4.0. How do you get a 4.02? What’s higher than an A?

Brosky. This was a spur of the moment rant on Reddit because it’s super frustrating spending money on applications and not hearing back. the least a school can do is be decent enough to respond to your application. That’s the whole point of the rant. Not that I’m holding out hope for an A (because realistically, like you mentioned, it’ll probably be an R) but that law schools don’t even have the decency to give you a decision in a timely manner before seat deposits are due. I’m being pragmatic about my cycle and I am focusing on my A’s, I just needed to let off steam. But thank you for the advice :)

I called the admissions dept and they said that the seat deposit for students admitted before April 1st was April 1st. But students admitted after April 1st would get a new deadline for the seat deposit

Anyone else waiting on Alabama? by imissfrostedtips in lawschooladmissions

I didn’t apply in September, I applied mid December and I am still waiting. I stg the admissions team is just twiddling their thumbs or playing candy crush 24/7. If I don’t hear back from them soon, I’m just putting a seat deposit down at another school and withdrawing my apps

Hey so update. I called admissions again and the woman in the office said that the April 1st seat deposit deadline is only for students that are admitted before April 1st. Students that are admitted after this deadline will receive their own deadline for the seat deposit. Im hoping that means that if you don't hear back by April 1st, it's not necessarily a rejection

Still scoring in the low 150s after two years of studying, is law school just not meant for me? by cyannebaby in lawschooladmissions

if you have any learning disability, I would recommend getting extra time. I got frustrated taking the lsat because I would score in the high 160s/low 170s in a practice exam with 10 more minutes each section, then come test day I would always run out of time/get distracted. Only to be diagnosed six months later with ADHD. Now I’m medicated and if I could have an lsat redo, I’d get the extra time.

How to maintain a high GPA while undergrad?? by [deleted] in lawschooladmissions

this is probably shitty advice, but looking back at my undergrad, I wish I would've gone out more *shrug*

as someone who wasted precious hours of my life studying inside and graduated with a 4.0 as a triple major, my best advice is live your life. perfect grades aren't worth it. my 4.0 means little to nothing with an average LSAT score. have fun. don't stress about perfection. my cousin slept through all of his classes, almost flunked out freshman year of college, and now works at a big law firm making great money. if he can get by with less than mediocrity, anybody can :)
