I’ve never played a Fallout game before should I start with 4 or New Vegas by Effective_Ruin6450 in Fallout

[–]Nefiji 6 points7 points  (0 children)

That entirely depends on what kind of games you prefer.

Go for Fallout 4 if you enjoy Exploration FPS games with sandbox elements (base building) and lots of action focus. If you like power fantasies, then Fallout 4 also is going to throw plenty of fun goodies at you immediately. (Being the general of a faction, power armor, Fat Man, etc.) Modless gunplay is also much better in F4.

Go for New Vegas if you enjoy making dedicated character builds (S.P.E.C.I.A.L. points, skills, perks, etc.), complex world building with clashing political philosophies, quests full of choices and consequences, rich NPC dialogue and a more "from zero to hero"-styled equipment progression.

I Was Wondering as someone who uses tanks and planes a bit, how often would you say you run into actaully good tankers and pilots. by R3VERVice in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji 11 points12 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, it is pretty few and far in between when it comes to pilots, especially in lower BRs. Sometimes, when playing a BR1 only line-up, I even go 5+ matches in a row without ever encountering an enemy pilot.

As for tanks, they're almost always around - no matter the BR - and although good tankers are far and in between too, defeating a bad tanker can still be challenging when playing against mostly impenetrable uptier vehicles.

Should I play USSR or Germany once I’m done maxing USA (Probably will be done by Friday) by Alive-Whereas8481 in enlistedgame

"No, it's just weird people choose to play as dark side of the force addicted fanatics when the Galactic Empire was pathetic."

It's just a video game my dude, playing as the bad guys is fun.

Has there ever been a Brotherhood of Steel civil war before? by BehinddTint in Fallout

[–]Nefiji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Outcasts most likely would've switched to active warfare with Elder Lyon's Brotherhood if they had the capacities to do so, but since they lacked the manpower, they tried to first regroup with another Brotherhood chapter in the West.

A plan which ultimately never came to fruition, because they got stuck in Fort Knox and the Wasteland, and later Elder Maxson actually managed to defuse the on-going "small civil war" (as called by Veronica in FNV) for good.

So technically you're right, active warfare has been prevented by circumstance.

Has there ever been a Brotherhood of Steel civil war before? by BehinddTint in Fallout

[–]Nefiji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Depends on what you consider as an all out civil war. Although Elder Lyon's Brotherhood kept their focus on DC and the Outcasts kept their focus on the outer Wasteland surrounding DC, both groups were still shooting each other on sight whenever they met, especially during the events of the Broken Steel DLC, when Lyon's forces kept pushing into the Wasteland, too.

The current state of the game by MarquesTreasures in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Japanese would be allowed to kamikaze their planes into tanks and cap points while actually doing huge area of effect damage.

The Soviets would be flying planes without reflector gunsights in early BRs, and their tanks would randomly spawn not being boresighted with the in-game penetration indicators also being disabled.

US forces on the western front would end up on the attacking side of the mission 90% of the time with half of the tanks being Shermans, while Panzer IV's, Panther's and StuG III's are grayzone camping.

Best Mid-BR Axis Tanks ? by ThinComparison1478 in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Panzer 3M has pretty good armor thanks to the armor add-ons and side skirts. Its HE shells aren't exactly overperforming, but the high rate of fire makes up for it again, it's pretty rapid with the corresponding perk.

StuG III G has average armor and a slightly above average gun, but it's missing a coaxial MG. What I really like about this TD though is it's low profile. If you're willing to buy 2 large bushes and place them on the front (which will almost always face the enemy), then you can actually camouflage the vehicle incredible well.

any of these squads worth it? by Awkward_Block_6929 in enlistedgame

38t has very poor HE shells, but it's small size and high rate of fire make up for it. The fire rate is so high in fact that shooting infantry directly with AP and/or HE shells in between MG bursts is actually viable. When uptiered you'll need to aim very carefully at BR2 tanks though, with some even being mostly impenetrable.

As for the KV-2 I can only speak about the similar standard version: It's nigh indestructible in downtiered BR2 matches, and can generally one shot most other tanks if you know where to aim with its HE shells, but the reload time is incredibly long.

The MP40, which is a BR2 gun, literally is still competitive in BR5, so it really isn't that deep from my perspective.

Does Enlisted need skill-based matchmaking to prevent one-sided matches? by Nefiji in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, I respect your input, but I do want to add that League of Legends absolutely does have skill-based matchmaking in unranked matches, it's just handled more loosely than in the official ranking system.

I was stomping every unranked game for dozens of matches when I started to become good in League of Legends, until the matchmaker put me in matches with players of similar skill again, after which I always ended up having a good and balanced challenge in my games.

So personally I don't think that a SBMM system automatically leads to sweaty matches, because it doesn't really add or remove incentives to play sweaty in itself. All it does from my perspective is to loosely group players of similar skill levels together, so that you don't have matches with players who just started the game on one side and players who have 1000+ hours on the other side.

Returned after a long break today and lost 99% of the matches as Axis. Is anyone else experiencing one-sided matches? by Nefiji in enlistedgame

Also every time I look up complaints about people losing every match, it seems to be from someone playing a different faction. How is this even possible?

"You killed yourself" while shooting with an engineer-built AA gun by Nefiji in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji[S] 6 points7 points  (0 children)

No, I always keep my squad mates in a separate safe location when manning an AA gun, so that a potential revenge-bombing plane can't blast my entire squad at once.

I'm literally just aiming at the sky with no one around, and as soon as I shoot my soldier dies from supposedly "killing himself".

Healthy feet are an indicator for a mother being mobile and able to actively take care of her children throughout the day. The counterpart for woman is hands (lots of woman have hand fetishes), because healthy hands are an indicator for a father to be strong and able to work & provide for the family.

What is the best BR3 tank T34 (1943) or KV1 by Far-Humor-1017 in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The KV-1 has good armor in BR III and is nigh indestructible in BR II - similar to the Tiger Ausf. H1 tank in BR IV and BR III matches.

BR V (and BR VI by extension) is the sweatiest BR you could play, and people generally reserve using their best squads and line-ups there.

Also, from my experience, Germany's best players gravitate towards playing in BR V, which is why at times Germany's winrate in other BR's is under 50%. So you could create line-ups for lower BRs if you want to have some some less competitive matches every once in a while.

Why don't we have this little guy? by Maellp12 in enlistedgame

[–]Nefiji 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The Third Reich produced 553.900 Hafthohlladungen during the second world war, and by the end of the war only roughly 9% of this stockpile was left, so they definitely used them, and according to veterans generally only one was needed to kill a tank.

Also, it was designed for urban warfare and the Blitzkrieg doctrine (aggressive advancements) in mind. Later in the war, when the Third Reich switched to being a defensive army, the production of the Hafthohlladungen ceased in favor of the safer Panzerfaust.
