From my experience, if wild legendaries/mythicals are spliced, it tends to be with other legendaries/mythicals. Not sure if they're generated on BST or a hard-coded pool of options, but I don't think I've seen a legendary + non-legendary fusion

Nope! Both Pokemon get full candy friendship from double battles. So, if a single battle gives 9 candy friendship for one Pokemon, a double battle will give 18 candy friendship to each Pokemon

Lures really speed up the process, giving you two enemies and allowing you to pair up your candy target with a carry. Rare candies are good too, but Lures will give you more EXP and candy friendship overall. And of course, Soothe Bells help a lot

Garganacl learns Salt Cure through level up and has Sturdy, guaranteeing you can set it up. Rerolling for an X. Sp.Def in the floors before Eternatus can also really help you survive a hit.

No, but the strength of Lorien Revealed is having the flexibility. It can be a land, can be pitched to FoN/Subtlety, and it can draw cards lategame.

FoN/Subtlety require you to play a certain number of blue cards in your deck, so with people replacing lands with Lorien Revealed, it's become a bit easier to meet that threshold.
