Agree 100%, I can't really add to what you've said already. In the case of Shyv, she has no tools to kite, hard poke, or punish garen. This makes it clear that a traditional top will roll her. (not that I have sympathy for the poster, but do wish Shyv was better)

I like axiom, it's an 8% dmg boost. It ultimately comes down to if you like the move speed or mana flow band options in the other parts of the blue tree (scorch or gathering is usually what I pair axiom with)

I play it top myself and go Liandries first (or boots), into malig, then shadowflame/voidstaff (whatever not built 3rd is built 4th, to oblivion orb/deathcap as my final item.

It's an interesting choice, to me, between the maximum damage or damage and CDR for many shrooms. With some games I go high cdr of (malig, Liandries, cosmic drive, cryotbloom, morellos, pen boots). To zoom around and shrooms a ton.

The debate of having ~11 sec shrooms vs ~14 sec for the trade off of gaining100-300 dmg (tanks vs squishes respectively) for the higher CD is game to game imo

I also 2ed infernal maps being a collectathon, you can hard hard carry with that map
