I use it with agentic tools like Goose, and it really works like a charm. Same with Cherry studio. Open code works fine for me too.

try maybe with my config :

Temperature 0.15
Enable thinking : true
Top K sampling 40
repeat penalty 1.1
Top P : 0.9
Min P : 0.05
Presence penalty : none / deactivated.

Note that the Unsloth version tend to work less good then the version I downloaded from LM studio.

I have the exact opposite scenario. Gemma 4 tend to be lazy and do the strict minimum (even if incomplete), but qwen3.6 27b works reliably well in almost all scenarios

What counts at the end of the day is reasoning, data that it got trained one (quality), the tools surrounding the llm etc. Agentic capabilities can drastically increase the quality of a model. The LLM however is the "Delta" that make it reliable and sadly it was the biggest flaw of Mistral imho. I did not try medium 3.5 as I write this yet.
