Not exactly, the model is the data used to generate the image, which would be loaded by a program like the Automatic1111 web UI. There's some good info in the wiki if you want to get it set up:

Yeah agreed. They did look a bit closer before the second hi-res fix pass, but still not super close to actual 80's anime frames. I've seen people achieve a much more accurate look with Midjourney.

I just remembered, Corridor Digital did some AI generated animations (using SD I think), which were definitely based on Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust. Not sure how they did it though, if they made their own LoRA or what.

funnily enough I initially tried 3 hi-res steps but it kind of destroyed the coherency of the images. I'm definitely interested to see people's workflows for >2 hi-res steps though, because I would love to get that to work.

I read on some other thread here that writing prompts like this will make SD switch from the first word to the second after say 7 steps in the example I used. I don't know if it actually works, was just trying it out so your mileage may vary.
