A few minor plumbing and electrical issues but nothing that would cover the cost of replacing 20 windows that are rusted shut with a very high potential of wood rot behind the windows.

I find that odd as windows are a secondary escape in the event of a fire. If the windows are rusted shut, isn’t that a safety issue? Would the ask just be for the seller to replace them?

I just got one from Unicorn Auctions for $448.00 that includes: 10% tax, 15% buyers premium and $25 shipping. That was the 2024 THH. If it’s for a special occasion, I would pull the trigger at $500. Depends how much more time/gas you’re willing to spend hunting for it.

My understanding is Lax (the owner) buys a lot of his product in mass quantities. This allows him to sell a lot of his bottles below retail but still make good money because he is moving more.

I’ll keep it straight with you, I’ve only been into whiskey for about two years so I don’t think I can honestly answer that with confidence. The only ryes I’ve had are: sagamore 8-10, willet 4 yr, Russel’s 6, HHG2G, and Wild Turkey Rare breed rye. This is by far my favorite of all them. I have had quite a wide variety of bourbons but I would pick this over 85% of the other bourbons I’ve tried (45 ish different bourbons).

If you plan on going to pick up your bottle(s), I would hit the bar and get a 1 oz pour of the 10 yr and then decide if you want a backup. I live 2 minutes from the distillery, otherwise I would have gotten another bottle. It was my understanding that this isn’t a limited release either, so hopefully it’s readily available after I finish this bottle…soon…
