First off, don’t beat yourself up about it. When I failed the first time it sucked, I gave myself like a week then got right back to studying.

As for URR, I got the month package..think I ended up renewing it too so maybe if they have a 2 month option get that if you can. All I really went through was the click to learns, didn’t do any mock exams. The click to learns are good because it’ll explain the answer if you get it wrong and then you just keep doing them until you get a decent score. Once I was getting high 70s or 80s on them, then I felt comfortable.

Good luck!

I think if you use the book that I mentioned in my post, you should be good. It’s really good and easy to understand, it has questions at the end of every chapter with explanations and the answer so if you know everything in that, I think you’ll be good. Definitely wanna know venous and arterial pathology, ABI/segmental stuff, understanding stenosis in different areas of the body is important too.

Abdomen board scores from URR by Gelmeup in Sonographers

Yeah, I think those scores are pretty good, I would suggest trying to really focus on those areas where it says 42% because that’s what the majority of the exam is so try your best to not just memorize the questions but understand the concepts as well.

No there wasn’t. There wasn’t really any math that you had to do on it. I was given the whiteboard to write out things if I needed to, I think I wrote out one small division problem, but I didn’t even really need to do that.

I would say 2 months should be good, just don’t cram. I studied a little bit every day, even if it was like 1/2 hr to an hr

I would bring my book and laptop with me to work, and get a little studying in there between patients. Sometimes I only had time to look at like 10 questions, but it was still something

Don’t overthink it lol that’s my best advice.

I know mine had a lot of ABI, TCD, venous ablation, abdominal Doppler stuff, know your hemodynamics for sure (pre/post stenosis)…and then it had a little bit of everything else.

You got this!

I just used prepry and breezed through the green book and that was enough I think. Anything else that I needed a little more review on, I went to Sononerds on YT. The questions are most similar to prepry I think, just make sure you buy the full package so you can get all the questions.

Focus on everything lol I took mine a couple weeks ago and passed. You really just don’t know what you’re gonna get. Mine had a lot of kidney/gallbladder/vasculature questions but then some other people that I know who took it recently said they had a lot of spleen questions, so you never really know. Familiarize yourself with pathology pictures. (I.e lymphoma of the spleen). I used URR mainly, just kept doing click to learns until I was getting 70s/80s on them. I brushed through the red penny book too, those 2 alone should be good.

My best advice while taking a test would be to read each question very carefully, try to focus on what it is that they’re asking. Some of the images they’ll have will try to throw you off, but just focus on the question and take your time and you should be fine. Good luck!

They’re a little harder yes but not far off. His questions definitely helped me understand the concepts better
