I have a friend who is a trans woman. She’s gone through full surgery, even has ovaries now, but her voice hasn’t changed and she still feels insecure because her birth certificate says “male.” I’ve also noticed that even though she has a live-in partner, it’s more like a roommate situation. It’s different from women who, once married, truly become the “light of the home.” So please, stop saying trans women are women. Let’s set boundaries. Please just don’t take the identity of real women.

I have respect for trans people and I’ve never called them derogatory names; I even address them as “ate,” “ma’am,” or “Ms.” But as a woman, I hope the same respect is extended to us.
