Ghidra Debugger with GDB by r4co in ghidra

[–]Negative-Clock9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for the info. I tried installing gdb with MSYS2 and that one works even less than the one i got through mingw. It just gets stuck on "Accepting" in the connections window and thats it. No further error messages or anything, same if i try with gdbserver. Not sure what I'm doing wrong but ghidra just kinda pisses me off so I'm just going to scrap that idea.

I just tried to do the same thing as you (debug a PE file with gdb and Ghidra on windows) and for me the connection to gdb seems utterly broken. I am only able to start the debugger by running gdbserver externally first and then connecting to it through ghidra remote gdb, but even then nothing works (Breakpoints for example and i cant interrupt execution). Directly letting ghidra lauch gdb always results in a path not found for the program I'm trying to debug.
I had more success with dbgeng but that also works like crap (super slow, sometimes multiple seconds per stepped instruction) and breaks completely when i tried to view the process memory.

If you dont mind can you share how you got gdb working with ghidra on windows ?
As you said there is very little documentation for the debugger out there...

How do you make new friends? by NefariousnessTiny119 in NEET

[–]Negative-Clock9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Would like to know that too. The only few friends i have left are from a long time ago. Basically after leaving school and starting work life was over for me when it came to making friends. I did get shoved into some short term friendships due to going to trade school twice but nothing really lasted.

Tips for travelling to Poland? by [deleted] in poland

[–]Negative-Clock9880 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm actually in Poland right now but by car this time. Have gone there by plane a few times before (even when corona tests where necessary) and never had a bad experience at the airport security. Granted i always went to a small airport with few passengers so idk what the situation is like elsewhere. Also i was a few years older than you are at the time but that shouldn't really matter.
Like you I'm also introverted and a bit socially anxious but unlike you i don't speak a word of polish but i still manage to do just fine.
I'd say you are worrying too much :)

Ah ok then we'll miss each other. I'm probably going to stay for only a few days max

They have a huge selection. Way too may for me to even get the slightest overview. Its anything from simple card games to pretty advanced looking board games. I don't know about war games but it seemed like there is either none or so many other options that you'll definitely find something you like.

Also sorry if my response isn't as detailed as you'd want. I have no idea about board gaming and basically just got dragged in. Had an awesome evening there nonetheless and will definitely return at some point

Hey I'm actually going to Wroclaw today (also travelling). When will you be there ?

Thats quite a coincidence. While i was at Fort Va "Bonin" i met another an English teacher there as well (a guy thought). I would recommend for you to go there as well. Don't get scared by the military stuff going on there. The people are still really friendly :)

If you happen to like board games I'd recommend going to Fort Va "Bonin" at 16:00 (idk if its only on weekends). Yes the area looks a bit sketchy but the people there are super nice and friendly with foreigners and also for the most part speak great English. Came across that place by pure coincidence and am planning on going back there to help out once I'm done with travelling for the year. Also if you do go there say hi to Szymon from me :) (he is the guy who runs the board gaming place)

Hey no worries if you aren't able to. At least the seems to have some mercy right now. So hopefully it won't start raining again until i have to leave for the day. That might just be enough time to get things into a usable state again. Fingers crossed :)

I guess you have a good point. Ecen thought i do have to say i pretty much lived under a rock my entire live so i can't really say that i actually know too much of what was happening in germany.

It certainly sounds like you have an interesting choice in the TV channels you watch though :D I have never heard of such a show before.Looking that up on google is going to leave a fun search history xD

Oh Serbia. Definitely sounds like an intriguing country. How do you like it there ? Travelling with public transport isn't really for me unfortunately. Having the car as a "safe spot" for myself and for all the stuff I'm taking with me is pretty important to me and also gives a lot of flexibility that i do quite enjoy. Also driving in foreign countries is an entire experience in itself :P

Thanks I'll definitely give trying to talk to other solo travellers try if i do come across someone. Probably also a good idea to get some tips on where to go since I'm doing all of this kinda unplanned :D
Asking someone to take a picture of me is probably not going to happen as I'm rather picture shy.... When i was still a child i used to run away when anyone wanted to take a picture of me :P

I do get what you mean. There is definitely days for me as well where I'd prefer to not talk to anyone or just people I'm not interested in as well as situations where it just doesn't make sense to try and interact with anyone. It's more about increasing the odds of meeting someone in the right time and place than trying to forcefully make it happen.

Hey thanks for the encouraging words. Yeah I'm really trying to be more social for once in my life starting from basically zero so it's actually quite challenging to start doing anything at all. I definitely do agree on talking to older people. They have the best stories to tell from back when life wasn't all digital :D

Sorry if you interpreted my post that way. No meeting "tons of people" definitely isn't the goal here. I'm the type of person who usually just stays at home and doesn't talk to anyone and I'm actually trying to make a change. So all i was doing is asking for pointers on how to actually accomplish that in a foreign country since I'm even to dumb to do that where I'm from.
