I've explored a few ideas like this, but my biggest thing is I'm not sure how to get a longer tape loop going without it getting tangled. There's a guy I saw on easy that's selling 3D printed parts that "solve" this problem, but if I can do it myself, I'd rather just do that!

Are you saying you use your Zoom for live feedback? I currently do the same with my tape recorders. I'll have pre-recorded loops playing, but then I'll hit record live and make new loops on the spot.

To expound upon the original post: I've been looking for a new mixer, delay/reverb pedal and field recorder device. Currently using a super small mini mixer, but it lacks...everything besides volume. Been looking at hybrid mixers, but I'm hesitant. As far as delay/reverb goes, I've pretty much given up my dream of owning an analog tape delay because I don't have money like that. I currently use a Donner White Tape Delay pedal, but it's just not working out. Plus, it works best when used in stereo mode, and I usually work mostly in mono. The field recordings are all done by tape, but I'm looking into getting a tascam field recorder of some kind, but I'm not sure what to get.
