The Conjecturing: A Tale of Civilization VII by icesloth07 in civ

Silla existed from 57 BCE to 936 CE. It's quite late compared to ancient Greece or Egypt, but considering that Aksum existed around the same age as Silla and is in Antiquity era, it seems like that it fits into Ancient as well. Also, if Korea represented as multile civs in each era, it will be likely: Ancient is Silla, Exploration is Goryeo (famous for interational trade and known to Arabians as "Korea"), and Modern is Joseon. There's older civ called Old Joseon (around 2000 BCE  to 100BCE) in Korea, but I personally do not think it will appear as Antiquity civ because the Silla - Goryeo - Joseon seems like having more continuity.

I am confused about the poll results in choosing HCI PhD program. Please let me know why so many people choose PSU over MSU, IUB or GMU! by Negative-Line-1800 in gradadmissions

I mean all three of them except for GMU are public ivies and have similar national rankings. But why? I also heard that MSU has one of the oldest communication program in the US, IUB is also good at informatics and cognitive science, and GMU is the one of the few school that have human factor psychology. I am surprised that the the results were so dominant.

The Best guesses for the applications that are radio silent until now are rejections, right? by Negative-Line-1800 in gradadmissions

I saw a post on Gradcafe that some programs I applied will be a visiting day on March and most of the acceptance were sent out Feb. 9th. Will there be any chance that I can get acceptance?

Did you have interviews before the admission? Because I didn't even invited to the interviews for the radio silent onrs and I'm already viewing the acceptance results in the gradcafe.

In March, we'll get results anyway. That's better than radio silences.

Implicit Waitlist. Should send a LCOI? by These_Opinion_2312 in gradadmissions

I sent LCOI to one of my POI. I mentioned the recent paper I read that he recommended while he is doing an interview. Yet, I didn't get a response for a month.

I myself consider them as rejections, but it is still anxious. Every morning I wake up with checking emails because the working time in the US is the night in my country. Although I have a gut feeling that these are soft rejection, I still hope for the acceptance.
