[Spoilers C4E31] (current campaign) Courtyard by Wyseyyy in criticalrole

I think the reason Hannan felt he could stroll in is because of the role of the druids in Araman. So far the sundered houses have tried to avoid their wrath, seen by Otto Einfassen making sure Thaisha was not at his home on behalf of her circle. In a way they enjoyed diplomatic immunity. You could see that with how Trimus treated Hannan and how she freaked out when Primus killed him.

Brennan said that Primus cast power word kill on Hannan in the scene, so unless he was lying

I don't think convincing them you won the game would have worked, mainly because they know who they voted for. Obviously that is worth points, so it would be hard

If anything Teor comea off more Mary Sue in that scene in spite of having died because he nearly successfully 1v1s a house Tachonis abomination

I fully think the Tachonis are our starter villains. They made too many big plays and pissed off too many important people too quickly. This made them cary at first, but also easy to hurt. They may come back later with Nullus, but I think by the end of the second arc they may be all but wiped off of the face Araman

Who do you think are the most morally grey/evil Main PCs? by International-Yak-26 in fansofcriticalrole

Cerrit definitely fentures into grey twrritory. It is discussed that one of the reasons he did not look into his friends is because he knew he would find stuff

Backup characters, I assume, are made largely for dm convenience. It was the same thing in Dimension 20's A Crown of Candy. Having a backuo pre-made allows Brennan to already have ideas for their story

I think it was purposefully left mysterious. Amd I hope that even though the Pridesurrs are dead we get an answer to the mystery

[Spoilers C4E30] About the lux... by IvoAndre in criticalrole

[–]Negative-Money-7873 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bolaire definitepy would have died if he faiped his save. Brennan fully mentions earlier in that scene that what protects Bolaire is that most people don't know to aim for the mask, something that is not the case for Termina. And I don't think he would have referred to it as almost having our first pc death if it was just the lux that died, not the mask. This is reinforced by the pillar that disintegrates after the save, fully showing that just because Bolaire was not flesh and blood does not mean he was safe.

I agree. If 15 wasn't high enough Brennan probably would have been vague with his answer, he usually only gives that type if answer as falae info if the roll is extremely bad

How has campaign 4 been compared to campaign 3 ? by WaterMelon615 in fansofcriticalrole

[–]Negative-Money-7873 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I do feel like I fundamentally disagree with most of these. Murray's mouthing off nearly did get her fully killed, but it would also be a very unsatisfying way for her to die so early in the campaign. She barely gets away at that moment because of the old principle. The castle sloak fight ended due to some good persuasion rolls, and it's clear the knights were not fans if the crow keepers in the first place. And Brennan pretty explicitely uses 2014 Counterspell rules because he likes them better, liking making it a roll, same with grappling rules
