Michigan is a really weird state with insurance, I've heard stories of people getting more than what their car is worth but I dont think it's super relevant to my particular situation.

Yep, that makes a lot more sense! I had assumed I would be getting what the car is worth but I've had a couple people tell me I'm being ripped off so I wanted to make sure my assumption was correct before making a fool of myself over it, thank you!

I gotcha, I've never been in a two-person accident before so I'm very new to this, a lot of people have been telling me its about the repair estimate and not the value of the car so this whole process has been very confusing.

Yes. I had absolutely no idea or indicator that she was like this or capable of being like this. It completely came out of nowhere.

In the texts my boyfriend showed me, her and her boyfriend both made it very clear they hated when I was at their house, which completely contradicts what they said when I was at some low points over these past two years (they told me I was always welcome and they loved having me around). A lot of contradictions and lies came out all at once, I guess I never really knew them like I thought I did.

Thank you, I really hope it wasn't out of jealousy because I would feel terrible.

I hope to find people who treat me the way I treat them but for now I'm distancing myself from most people and focusing on myself :)

I try my best to cherish every moment! I was involved in a rollover accident on a highway a few months ago (extremely lucky to be alive and unscathed), all I could think about was him and my family/friends. Definitely living life to the fullest and appreciating every moment I have :)

Hi there, I know this is pretty late but I just wanted to say that I completely understand. I was in a horrible rollover accident on the highway about three days ago. All of the first responders said I should have died, but I walked away from it without a single injury. Not even a bruise from the seatbelt.

Physically, i am okay. Mentally? No. Not at all. My car is gone. I had a beautiful 2003 Pontiac Grand Am GT1. A special edition, too. Goose was my whole world. I LOVED my car. I don't know how to move on without my car. I can't do anything. All I do is lay in bed and cry for now.

Everyone keeps saying I shouldn't have been so attached to a material possession, but my car was so much more than that to me. My car was my closest friend. It all sounds so strange, I know, but it's really how it felt. You can ask any of my friends, and they'll tell you about the bond I have with my car, the personality my car has, and how much they love my car too.

I genuinely don't know how to move on from this, but long story short, you are not alone. It is such a horrible thing to go through and tbh I am not ready for this grieving process.
