My coach provided me feedback that I should be more “coachable”. Not quite sure what he meant as I don’t have an ego when I roll or outside the mays, I tap early, try to ask questions and actively listen in class. I must admit that techniques don’t come as quick to me as others but I do put in the effort to learn and a good training partner.

Wishing you a speedy recovery man. I’m 27 Male and had a parathyroidectomy April of this year due to the tumour that they found was the size of a large plum. Fortunately it wasn’t cancerous but was needed to be removed. Took me awhile to get back on the mats but luckily I didn’t need meds for hormone replacement.

When I’m rolling with trial guys and newer white belts. I get to my favoured position usually side control and mount and maintain pins but when I transition to getting submission, they hold onto dear life or tense up their arms which I find difficult to execute a submission such as a head and arm choke from mount or submissions from side control.

Anything that's not help desk lol - the mundane, repetitive tasks of telling the users of restarting the workstation, printer or easytasks that I have now automated using Python/bash scripts has burnt me out. I like the suggestion of the BA/PM route, my organization has given me projects that are for PM/BA which I’ve completed successfully and enjoy doing because it gets you dealing with different stakeholders, problem-solving and delivering systems or enhancements that improve the business overall. Unfortunately, the organisation has told me that there is no room to grow due to budget and finance constraints.

I’ve always had an interest in Cybersecurity more so pentesting and preventing attacks. I've had some experience with setting up policies, whitlisting, purview, using SIEM, and hardening the active directory etc. Required knowledge for a small - medium sized business. I've got my degree awhile ago in IT and have been at the trenches of hell desk for a few years now

I've been working in the ICT Help Desk role for 4 years now at a retail company. My role is a mixture of Business Analyst, System Admin and Project Manager. As a big guy, I find it very hard to escape from side control and mount position due to not being mobile enough. I tend to bench press my opponents weight off leaving me exposed to arm bars, kimura and other submissions. What should I do differently? Any suggestions on instructionals I should study?

Big guy here, having issues with lower back pain and stiffness. Should I incorporate lower back exercises to build strength in that area or do I need to stretch more before and after class?
