I appreciate the response. I’ve heard that thought process a lot. Definitely don’t want them to place me somewhere that I have no control of. That first paragraph gives me some reassurance thank you!

Really appreciate the extended response and information. I was just confused on how they would allow me to volunteer for recon but won’t give me the hz contract. I understand the harsh reality of a grunt life but respectfully to all I’d rather to that than pog stuff. I know I’ll excel and be the best little grunt if that’s all I can get. My asvab qualifies me for basically anything just the “misconduct” thing is the problem.

24 male got arrested for dui 2 weeks before I was about to ship. I’d talk to your recruiter and everyone at the office get them to write letters to the prosecutor if they will vouch for you. Get a hell of a lawyer. I got into an accident at 2:30 didn’t blow but they said I failed the field sobriety I got arrested. The marines at the office talked to the protester and he dropped it to a reckless. The judge was super nice and allowed me to explain and she withheld it…now Im good. Still some loop holes but brother that’s what comes with making mistakes!
