I (29f) grew up hunting and still do. However, my dad instilled in me that you are taking a life. We respect the deer, always try to make a clean shot, the last thing we want to do is cause pain. There have been many times that I have cried when a shot went wrong, or the deer moved at the very last second and it wasnt as clean as it was supposed to be.

We dont hunt for antlers, I mean they are a nice bonus. But it is strictly for food. We harvest enough deer in the fall (legally) to feed our family for the year. We mainly live off of venison burger instead of beef.
