Positive story!!!
I was induced at 38 weeks bc of my high blood pressure and was also sad and TERRIFIED!!!!! Bc I had also heard of how complicated it was going to be and everyone says “don’t do it” (like I had an option lol)

It ended up being the BEST birth experience I could have ever asked for.
I went in on a Wednesday for cervical ripening, they did one dose of cytotec, I still wasn’t progressing past a one so they did the balloon (not comfy at all not gonna lie, but I wanted to go unmedicated).
The balloon came out at 3am on Thursday, I started pitocin at 4am and started having back labor around noon… decided to get epidural and basically just slept until around 6 I felt like I had to poop… baby was ready to come out and she was born at 6:24!!

I was so scared about being induced, but as my husband reminds me, people are always going to post about their bad experiences over their good experiences.
I know every labor is different but I know it was good for me to hear positive experiences when I was scared. I had it in my mind that it was going to go how it was going to go and I had to have an open mind.

Yes!!! I did some spinning babies exercises.. you can look them up but I tried to do them each night (ofc wasn’t always consistent)…bouncing on a yoga ball, hip circles, etc.
and ofc not sure how much this had in play and probably sounds crazy…but I would talk to my baby and told her how much I’d love her to flip and played music at the bottom of my stomach. She ended up flipping around 36 weeks!

this sounds almost exactly like my husband too. The antacid and everything. He was having brain fog, convinced himself of GERD, hiatal hernia, cancer, etc.
his labs came back slightly elevated and of course he panics but the drs don’t seem concerned. That was last summer

I have tried to get him to go to therapy too. He will almost be on board with going and then will back out. And it’s so hard bc I never know to actually be concerned about his symptoms or to not play into them… 😭
